  1. Yep, spotted similar while at the Reading beer fest yesterday. You get some crazy erratic cloud movements in the states on high shear chase days, it's almost mesmerising.
  2. Not a problem and welcome to the forum! Tour 1 kicks off today with a bonus chase so hopefully the next few weeks will convince you to take the plunge
  3. Here you go https://www.weatherholidays.com/stormchase-usa/book.html
  4. I'm not someone who usually clamours for warm weather, but good grief the first half of May is looking appalling. Having worked through the glorious Easter weekend, I was hoping this long weekend it would be nice weather - nah! Tonight is my first "summer" night shift, but putting snow in forecasts is not something I wanted to have to do.
  5. I'll remember this for when you're complaining that it's like the Day After Tomorrow when it's 15c in July
  6. My thoughts too! I know we sometimes have to resort to less than reputable motels from time to time, but never have I not been provided with a towel!
  7. Strangely, a lot of the reservoirs and rivers are around or above average last time I checked.
  8. Or just wear them in the shower, apparently. But yeah, bringing plenty of clothes is a must.
  9. Nope, not in monsoon season, the heat is anything but dry!
  10. Fill the ice box with ice and water bottles daily, you won't regret it!
  11. So we're going to have a higher max in Feb than through the whole of March and first half of April. Has that ever happened before?
  12. It was still 40c at midnight in Phoenix itself, the heat is something else. Thankfully the best of the action is well into the evening.
  13. Glad to see you've got the Arizona bug too, Stuart! I'm definitely doing this again one year but will likely do it solo rather than via an organised tour.

    Tour 4

My "favourite" part about dining there was a particularly gormless waiter. He brought everyone's food out except mine, then asked if he could get anything else...to which I slightly drunkenly replied "Yeah, my food please".

    Tour 4

You somehow managed to hide it! I've unhidden it for you. I've never actually flown in to Denver myself (all the tours I've been on/driven for have been Dallas-based) so don't know where the best places are to go for food. I did go to the Ruby Tuesday when collecting friends from Denver airport, but wasn't too impressed and I'm not usually fussy when it comes to the quality of food! May have been a bad day, although Paul will probably be best places to advise.
  16. I don't mind hot if it cools down to a tolerable level overnight. The early stages of last summer were perfect IMO, very warm days but it cooled down overnight so it was easy to sleep. But as soon as the humidity increased and the night time minima struggled to drop below the mid-teens it became an unbearable slog. As long as I can sleep, I'm happy.

Welcome aboard! You may well be cutting it fine now to get any deals so I wouldn't advise waiting too long

Oh and the tour 4 thread finally wakes up
  19. When posting charts from wxcharts, please do not crop out the watermarks. The use of site content clearly states not to. Cheers. "Sharing of site content (maps, plots) via social media, forums, email etc is permitted and in fact encouraged for all non-commercial purposes - providing that any watermarks are not removed/covered or full accreditation is provided by way of a link to wxcharts.com. "
  20. Didn't fancy correcting the "there grammer" part then?
