  1. Not sure there's much to discuss here to be honest. For general summer chat including heat speculation, please use the summer thread
  2. GFS max next week on the gridpoints is 31c, EC 30c, GEM 30c... There is nothing to suggest anything of the sort.
  3. They are? Which ones? I can't see anything to suggest much above 30c.
  4. I like that way of showing temperatures through the year!
  5. To be expected considering we're not a continental climate, we're not "supposed" to get extremes.
  6. I'd welcome that, it would continue a great weather year! A great wintry spell, some epic storms (which I wasn't here for...), a blazing summer and hopefully a stormy Autumn.
  7. Yeah I think we've got enough summer threads to be going on with at the moment! For general summer chat, feel free to use this: https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/89703-summer-2018-moans-ramps-chat-etc/
  8. In terms of the dry summer, this is shaping up to be on a par with 76, but obviously without the water shortages thankfully.
  9. Looking increasingly likely we will go the entirety of June and July without seeing any meaningful rainfall here. Remarkable.
  10. Meanwhile, we've had 0.5mm with half the summer gone, extremely dry.
  11. Ah hello fellow Aylesbury-dweller! I don't even remember that sprinkling on 16th June. If the EC is to be believed, we won't get a good chance of rain until at least next weekend. Getting on for 2 months without rain must be unprecedented surely?
  12. Just walked to the shop on my lunch break and there are so many leaves lining the pavements, it's like October! Possible drought stress?
  13. The lack of much of a continental flow probably helps.
  14. Yep, people "coped" without vaccinations and medical science...but didn't live long! Either way, I do think those warnings are a little exaggerated.
  15. Everywhere IS brown around here. Not had more than 1mm since May. Unlikely to get thunderstorms here in the coming days here either.
  16. I do think those heat health things are way OTT. While the heat has been notable and prolonged, it's been a very poor summer so far in terms of thunderstorms!
  17. I got back from storm chasing on 11th June and haven't seen a drop since.
  18. Looking forward to a return to "sensible" day lengths (i.e. not daylight at 4am), such a shame it's a short period.
  19. Bit of a strange one that. You can't be doing much enjoying of the weather if you're sat here moaning at the moaners!
  20. Really starting to struggle as our flat simply cannot cool down. Pouring with sweat all day. Shout out to fellow hyperhidrosis sufferers out there...
  21. Have you had rainfall in the last 14 days?
  22. Nope. Because there is a meteorological drought.
