  1. I know this will come to nothing but look at the adjustments on the Output in the so called reliable. The top yesterdays 96hr and today 72hr. I'm probably looking at small detail a little too much in hope but compared with yesterday we now have a developed 990 low rather just a shallow short wave and where as HP bridged across france at 72hr, today LP is digging in more SE/ Slap me and tell me that there is absolutely no chance of LP going SE into France or the med at this stage is there ??
  2. Re: the GWO temp composites... 4 show Mild, 3 show Cold and 1 Shows average. Odds are in favor of Average or above average 2m temps on those composites unless I'm reading them wrong.
  3. It's a good old Soaking Sunday morning I'm afraid. But atleast its possible Saturday may be another Snowday before the floods kick in lol. To be honest I'm sticking with 72+ as FI becuase one minute the Breakdown is Saturday, the next its thursday night and now Sunday morning
  4. 18z is an upgrade for Snow for Friday night. North West and parts of The SE see snow whilst everyone else sees snow quickly turn to rain lol. Hilarious run, not sure I believe it though:
  5. It's really coming down mate, but don't think it will last. Just stick to the main roads and you should be fine
  6. Pink/ Orange.......It's the glow from the bbq heading this way
  7. Have to admit, the sky has still got that snow-ripe look about it
  8. And what happens after I declare the last snow for me ? it starts snowing again
  9. Precip has cleared this area entirely now SE of the region and it looks set to remain dry for the next few days. That was probably the last of the Snow for this cold blast. If anything, we may see a bit of Sleet in the early hours of Friday morning before it quickly turns to rain as the breakdown occurs. The breakdown is progged a day and half sooner that previously modeled. Saturday evening was the starting point, but now it looks like Thursday night Friday morning. So a cool to cold and very wet outlook from Friday morning onwards. Personally, I'll be hoping that 72hr+ is modeled wrong as was the case leading up to this spell with regards to LP moving NE south of Iceland. Probably turn out to be right though
  10. The odds do strongly favor milder conditions. But only if you believe output post 72hr. I did exactly that other week, backing an Atlantic surge and was left feeling a right t*t when the tiny wedge of HP won out. Only problem with that thinking is that the Stat doesn't support any wedge of HP to our N/NE holding out ?
  11. Its really bad up here now. 5 inches in the sheltered areas close to the house further out in the garden and beyond in open more like 6-7 inches and that's is everywhere including the roads. 1ft drifting and no doubt higher else where. What a good do. I won't be walking for an hour in that later to get to work! (oh and its still snowing moderately but fine in nature)
  12. Last one before bed. Latest NW radar shot, with the heaviest clearing north of us but still a drag of ppn from our SE:
  13. Just been out, its like 5 inches, deeper in places! never mind the drifts. Roads round here are virtually undriveable. And on that note, winter proper has finally come heh Time for me to log off Enjoy your trips out and about this morning peeps, though I suspect a few wont be going anywhere
  14. I think once the main batch has headed north (which its doing pretty quick now) we will continue to get a steady stream of ppn from SE http://www.trafficen...897&navbar=true Scroll around the map, pick a camera, hover over the icon and move your cursor over to "View camera image" and clicky Edit you will have look at the option listed down the right of the page and "turn on cameras"
  15. You wanna see the motorway cams from the east Northwest. A lot are on the brink of closure lol
  16. All the metos graphics have updated with Heavy Snow finally showing through to around 6am with light snow there after. They reckon snow wont even clear the cheshire area of the region till later in the evening. Excellent
  17. Yeah fat flakes starting drop here now too. Plenty of people will be getting snowed in up here by morning
  18. Im going crazy watching this radar haha. The greens and yellows slowly heading closer my way. Not seen the best of this yet!
  19. Directly north of me and West compared with feb1991. But you are getting the heavier stuff over you! Radar Greens all over your area lol.
  20. Keeps dying off a tad here then picking up and as for those greens, they're not quite making it over the pennines. Anyway, can't sort pictures out but here's my "sheltered" back yard live on my HD Lifecam : http://ustre.am/vFGQ Doesn't look like its snowing but you get the gist of things up this way. Much worse out in the open off the street. Will leave it on for 20 mins ^^
