  1. What's happening folks, is it still Armageddon Climate change ? 2 days of fire followed by a month of floods ?
  2. Same here mate. I don't know about you but it feels totally unbearable already and yes very gusty but it's hot air rather than cool
  3. Still 30c out in the garden and its 00:40am lol. This is unreal. Wish I had my own garden swimming pool, be nice to take a nice long dip right about now!
  4. If this hot weather does become a normality (again) then I might have to invest in one of these beauties:
  5. 37c & rising here in this higher up part of Oldham. Not feeling too sweaty indoors but you melt as soon as you step out in it Does anyone know what the highest ever recorded temp for Oldham is ? Cant find any info anywhere. *Just notice Frost Hollow posted before me... nice one!
  6. I was very surprised how quickly it cooled down last night. It was not very sweaty in bed either to be honest. As for today, feeling a bit sweaty earlier but now the cloud has rolled in from the west it feels a bit fresher & cooler. Where I am anyways. Good to see the usual media suspects are giving Armageddon heat forecasts like we've never had 30+ temps before
  7. Indeed, blink and miss it warmth! All that talk about climate change and unusually high temps didn't really come to much for most of the country lol. It really didn't get above 25 up here and the humidity only lasted a couple hrs. Already feeling fresher. Would of been great without all the sodding cloud though
  8. Flippin heck, the sky is really Red this morning like when saharan dust gets blown up over Europe. I have never seen such a red sky, very strange!
  9. The chop and change every 24hrs on weather forecasts such as BBC and Meto is resounding and infuriating lol. They can't even predict 24hrs out with any reliability. I was expecting a couple of warm sunny days Friday and Saturday and now looks mostly a washout.
  10. Tomorrow arrived early then Damp and pretty cloudy start to the day but the sun came out this afternoon and has remained warm and fairly sunny. Looking at the charts longer range, there is a decent chance HP will stick around long enough to keep the wet mush away for a short while. How long before the proper BBQ weather is back ?
  11. Yes it was supposed to be a day of showers as the Rainfall radars do show but its been pretty much none stop drizzle all day. Very miserable grim weather! The rain defo needs to Truck off now I think
  12. Nice covering of Snow here pretty much the same as those in the Peak District area. Still lightly snowing too. Not sure I want this freezing weather after how nice it has been lately!! Mr Sunshine please come back!!
  13. We've had a solid 2 days of lying snow so far up here about 2 inches, some melting but then freezing into icicles. It has just started snowing quite heavy again now.
  14. As others have already said, quite a surprise to get an overnight covering of snow... in May!!! and we are still getting hail with the rain. That is all well and nice but let's have that warm sunshine back please, the plants have had their fill of rain thanks!
  15. Well its sunny here and its snowing on and off as well so not much melting this time. All other snowy days it did melt in no time.
  16. Same here, heavy flurries on and off and the loose snow on surfaces blowing in wind too. If we got persistent snow from streamers we'd finally get reasonable accumulation.
  17. Looking at how stern the easterly flow is progged on the models, the depth of cold uppers and the embedded troughs I am going for 30 cm in Oldham East (with drifting)
  18. Up late today. The couple of inches we had in the early hours has pretty much all melted away. That has been the story of this winter, a few cm here and there with rapid thaw.
  19. Not much snow. Just tiny ice pellets and the odd flake. Certainly not rain but nothing notable.
  20. Thanks, I'd rather it did something substantial being slap bang under the red echos as per radar lol. Edit. It is snowing now. The odd flake blowing about so fingers & toes crossed for a good dumping by morn.
  21. Still pretty much dry as a bone here. Snow to my north, rain to my east. Unbelievable.
  22. According to the radar I am now slap bang under the red echos yet it's barely even any drizzle. Just a spot.
