We are right on the boundary of the heat here in the south of the region that's why, only just scraped into it really. If we was in the Midlands southwards it would've been afternoon with the highest temps and lasted longer. Anyway looks like Manchester airport reached 28C. Don't think that's the highest ever June temp though at that location we've had hotter. Winds have moved in from the west now so temps will slowly drop away from now onwards and become more NW'y in the evening. A blink and miss it heat.

Indeed, blink and miss it warmth! All that talk about climate change and unusually high temps didn't really come to much for most of the country lol. It really didn't get above 25 up here and the humidity only lasted a couple hrs. Already feeling fresher.

Would of been great without all the sodding cloud though

Forecast has changed.  Met Office is going for it being wetter from late afternoon and overnight.

The chop and change every 24hrs on weather forecasts such as BBC and Meto is resounding and infuriating lol. They can't even predict 24hrs out with any reliability. I was expecting a couple of warm sunny days Friday and Saturday and now looks mostly a washout.

Just a few spots of rain today but not enough to wet the ground. Tomorrow looking bright and pleasantly warm

Tomorrow arrived early then  Damp and pretty cloudy start to the day but the sun came out this afternoon and has remained warm and fairly sunny. Looking at the charts longer range, there is a decent chance HP will stick around long enough to keep the wet mush away for a short while. How long before the proper BBQ weather is back ?

Lol BBC weather app shows light cloud for Oldham all day... its absolutely leathering it down & has for most of the day...Met app a little better with heavy showers.  Grim for being on the threshold of summer.

Yes it was supposed to be a day of showers as the Rainfall radars do show but its been pretty much none stop drizzle all day. Very miserable grim weather! The rain defo needs to Truck off now I think

Regardless of what anyone says, the sun will melt your snow at this time of year no matter what.

Despite it being below freezing, the snow that fell is now melting rapidly in the strengthening February sunshine. Not much cloud about today to stop it either. Can't even hang onto a dusting in one of the coldest easterlies for years.

Well its sunny here and its snowing on and off as well so not much melting this time. All other snowy days it did melt in no time.
