  2. Still 0 c at Market Weighton (with Dew point of -0.1 ) at 10.30 when I was expecting 2 or 3 c , so maybe better conditions for snow later as showers come in off the North Sea

  6. I've noticed that Euro 4 has really gone downhill in accuracy since its "upgrade" a couple of years ago . For some reason it now overestimates snow potential whereas in the past it would underestimate it.
  7. ECM 0z ensemble mean Great ensemble mean this morning from ECM 0z. It continues to look very cold in the medium term

  16. ECM 0z ensemble mean 850s Another improvement in the ECM 0z ensemble mean this morning after 27th , ( and 24th / 25th still looks tasty too ) GFS 0z precipitation charts Increasing snow chances for the East during Christmas Eve too
  17. ECM 12 z ensemble mean 850 s for Dec 24th and 25th still looking very good indeed and conducive to a few snow showers in the East....... And an improving mean in the medium term too 28th - 30th ( compared to the ECM 0z )

  20. GEFS 06 z ensemble mean Christmas Eve 850 s I'm still pretty interested in the " reliable " timeframe of 102 hours. That is a very good mean for Christmas Eve. Wintry showers and some snow likely for a few lucky locations if we get precipitation.
