  1. snow above 200m around here. The hills/mountains have a fine covering, just wet where I am :l. And the precipitation Tomorrow may not happen, I just looked on BBC and they had the band coming back but turning over Midlands area and not even coming into Wales.
  2. Looking at them charts it would seem snow is a nice possibility. BBC online shows a different picture, RAIN. Current temps 6/7c. :l
  3. Just looked at forecast, rain turning to snow Tuesday into Wednesday however it's expected to occur in the east over London area. :l Time will tell... but probably too mild here, currently 4.7C... we need some strong east/north winds.
  4. It feels like for last few weeks there's been potential only for it to downgrade a few days beforehand with another potential event appearing the following week. Then the same happens again . When will this snow week arrive?
  5. Looking at BBC weather online is not very good for us regarding snow. 7C on Tuesday .
  6. ^^Looks good. And the 528 line is just west of wales. Currently, CLEAR, -1.2C NNW Winds @ 6.7MPH Brrrr.
  7. BBC online forecast predicts heavy rain Monday Night.... ... ... ... Nooooooooooooooooooo! It'll change, it's 5 days ahead... hopefully for the better.
  8. moderate snow shower. not sticking around for long, nice to watch though .
  9. snowing again, flakes a bit thicker this time .
  10. Having a snow shower. It coming down like polystyrene. Temporary dusting.
  11. Block goes too far west? That's something I didn't think I would hear ... usually it's not west enough. The atlantic must be very low on fuel if that HP is setting off Canada way.
  12. It's coming down like little balls of polystyrene... not sticking around for long, ground wet. The big blob north of east anglia is fizzling out quickly. Hopefully some of it will be left by the time it reaches here.
  13. I think we had some sleet earlier. The ground is wet and there is currently no precipitation. Temp: 2.2C DP: 0.2C Wind: NNE
  14. With the current blocking being repeated hopefully it'll continue into the summer with winds from the med, 25C and sunny please with occasional storms. My south facing bedroom was like a fryer yesterday when the sun was out all day. That's a disadvantage to summer but I'm keen on a dry sunny summer after last 3 washouts.
  15. Yes! Snow showers all week - south/east being best. Thursday/Friday look better for Wales with some more persistent snow off North Sea.
  16. I wouldn't be too concerned... yet, that chart is very likely to change and chances are it'll like completely different 24H before hand.
  17. http://www.sat24.com/Region.aspx?country=eu&sat=ir&type=loop This is interesting. You can see how the cloud west of Ireland is being stopped moving west over us due to blocking... it's heading North or into Portugal/Spain instead.
  18. Cool! You can see the atlantic moving swiftly in to portugal/spain but there is very little cloud movement west over us. Interesting!
  19. Yep, that's my thoughts! We just need the cold air in first as with that over us we can get snow from LP's off the Atlantic in a breakdown at least.
  20. good the models are now all indicating a cold week to come. The main thing is to get the cold air and then the snow will follow (even if it's a breakdown event).
  21. Yup I've heard people say it alot... there could be some sort of link seeing as both Europe and America have been struck by bad winters this Year .
  22. Imagine the chaos here if we had 76cm of snow like in Eastern US. We go crazy over a dusting haha. Mind you, even they are struggling and have been told to prepare for at least 5 days inside. Yes it is a coincidence, they had the heavy snow back in December too and then we had heavy snow early January (although we had it December too ). Our snow and their snow is from different pressure systems usually... I think .
  23. Although we don't do well... it's when the breakdown occurs that we get our share of snow. We need to get the cold air in first.
