  1. It was a surprise this morning to have snowfall in Bridport, a waste of snow tbf when it doesn't settle! A wintery mix out there now with snow settled on the hills around the town.
  2. At 42 m asl like my location rain is all it will likely be, 100m plus is where the action may happen.......given some inland parts of Dorset are well in excess of 100m asl it could be fun for some
  3. Yes a slap in the face for teleconnections which makes me a little sceptical to any of the charts past next weekend coming anywhere close to verifying.......
  4. At work in Cattistock, Dorset........today is the coldest rainy morning of the winter so far for me! My phone says 6°c.

  7. The was no amber warning for tonight anyway, it has been yellow, amber is tomorrow!
  8. All night? I think that is a little stretched tbh, the strongest winds lasted no more than an hour or so as the sting jet passed through.......
  9. From what I have been reading cyclogenesis is being forecast with a rapid drop in air pressure........

  13. Working today on a roof, the tiles were hotter than a scolding radiator, I sat on the ridge too long and have got burns on my buttocks through my shorts
  14. There is an area of rain developing on the south Dorset coast right now, going by what I was reading in the storm thread earlier this is spot on time, whether it will turn out to be worthy of a warning is another matter!
  15. It's like a late 70s early 80s spring which were followed by a crap summer! I remember it well!

  17. It's the heavier bursts that is producing a wintery mix, as it stands I think this ain't happening on low ground! 3 miles up the road from here probably a different story
