  1. Am I the only one on here now wishing for spring/warmth/sun rather than cold/snow ? do not want to sound/be a party pooper, just asking, as at the end of the day we will get what the weather gods deal us anyway, no matter what we want or what the models predict us.
  2. are we done cold now? I feel like a lizard, I need some sun and warmth to bask in.
  3. Being of "spiritual" persuasion, I am way happy at the current "direction" we are taking. and yes well addressed to the idea and it's celebration. bring it on
  4. Have to agree (that you disagree), all models need to be taken into consideration, they all have good and bad points, but it is seeing patterns and discerning the data from the noise that matters. Be interesting to see the later run output(s) when compared to current runs.
  5. Sleety all day here, eased off now, just cold and damp, a balmy 3.8oC in the shed now.
  6. LOL Never been there for orange rolling, do miss there but St Albans is a bugger to get round these days, still have family there so often in LC, SA, BW and El's (mainly for a meal out) Went sledging there as a kid in the snow (early 70's), may be my being a kid at the time, but it seemed to be the longest and fastest sledge run I ever did.
  7. CHIPS! Well the cold looks likely to become more and more embedded looking at the current and recent model output.
  8. Ahh, used to go there when I was a Kid, fantastic place. Sometimes I think it a shame we moved from LC
  9. Done my driving for today, it is the ice in the dark tomorrow morning at silly am that i'm more concerned with. BTW Kris, how is the DJ business going? not seen you for a few years now.
  10. Well, whilst it looks like the west is "back in there" for now, we all know that what the models predict and what we get can often be very different. What we want/expect and what mother nature delivers can catch us by suprise. For now it does indeed look like (using current GFS) that we are entering a western influence with our weather, expecting temps here to remain + from this weekend for the forseeable, but even so avg temps for this time of year are hardly tropical.
  11. With you bro, like it to look at but the heating bill is comes with is my killer. Roll on Imbolc
  12. Do the dance anyway, give them something to worry about. In the office I always get asked about stuff like this. on a higher note, the cold does appear to be more longer resident now. http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?&ech=126&mode=0 That block bounces back the Atlantic at t126. And I would say the S, S/W and W would see some significant wintry precip in all that before it moves across the UK. Prime area does look to be W Midlands for a snowfest IMHO (but it is just a HO)
  13. Woke up to a light dusting from overnight when I ventured out in the car to work at 06:00 this morning, must have melted a bit too as it was on the screen cover and that was covered in ice.
  14. JUst been out to the bin and a super light flurry. Not much I will agree, but *some* all the same.Up by the by pass.
  15. Just a tad, my nan from my "birth" ground is on holiday, so I have lost my "ear on the ground" there for now. (cold ear I agree)
  16. My normal correspondant in the N.London Herts area is currently in Perth W.A. and is reporting temps in the mid 30's
