    A few tiny flakes falling down now but thats about it. Around 5 inches of snow now lying and what a fantastic cold spell this has been. Better than feb 2007 and feb 2009 for me. Currently -0.3C and icing over a treat which is very impressive due to the thick,100% cloud cover. Im already mourning the end of the cold spell, feels like its the end of an era! What a fantastic month of weather anyhow! Edit for pic... This was a field near me this morning, probably another 1cm on top afterwards...

    Got to have had nearly 3.5 inches of snow since last night. 5 inches+ in the garden and over 6 inches in local fields. Hasnt stopped snowing all day. Fantastic! Current temp 0.2C and falling.

    Down to -6.6C here last night but gizmo is right by house. Beautiful clear skies and a max today of -2.0C-comfortably an ice day. Temp now dropped to -3.1C here and falling. The snow is very powdery now due to the frost sucking the moisture out of it. Dont really want any snow tonight because it will just increase temps. Hold on, what am i saying?! No word of a lie there has been next to NO snow melt today despite solid sunshine from 9am-3.30pm. Fantastic winter weather.

    Snow was falling this morning until about 11am. The sun didnt come out till 12.30pm so there has been no thaw whatsoever! Currently -4.1c and dropping like a STONE! Fantastic day and I didnt expect to see any snow this morning so thank you Mr streamer im eternally greatful! Still 4 inches of snow here

    Over 4 inches of snow now and still it tumbles down. Temp steady 0.1C. Fantastic!

    I really think the heavy snow in the SE may come far enough North and clip Birmingham. No thaw here and light snow temp a steady -0.6C All you people in Shrewsbury/Shropshire pop up the Long mynd if you are desperate!

    Just measured 8cm on grass and still it streams down with large flakes. Its ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC to have no marginality with rain/sleet/snow. Just snow and snow only. Currently -0.5C and feels bitter

    Heavy snow here again huge flakes and -0.2C. At last a snowfall that isnt melting as soon as its stopped! Got to be pushing around 3 inches now. This cold spell.....DELIVERS!

    Heavy snow for the last 15 mins and moderate snow for 40 mins before then . Got about 2.5 inches on the grass. temp 0.2C. LOVELY!

    Easily 1 and a half inches in 45 mins. Massive flakes and real powdery. Temp -0.6C

    Looks good for the Birmingham area tomorrow with the snow stalling here for a time tomorrow. Central Southern England looks to get a pasting later on tomorrow as well. All to play for folks!

    What a fantastic day. I have not seen a cloud at all today. Currently -3.9C and falling which isnt bad seeing as the gizmo is placed against the very warm house

    That really did make me laugh out loud! Here its endless cloud keeping the temp at 1.3C. Rather it bugger off so it can drop to -6C or so

    Thanks! Although i think with that heavier band of PPN it may skirt to our SE. I dont think its got enough of a NW movement on it unless it beefs up on on its western edge? Still Moderate snow and accumulating nicely!
