    We started with sleet/rain unfortunately so although it's been snowing here for a couple of hours, it's only white on the grass with some slushy stuff on the cars. However, I live in the valley so it's probably getting whiter on the hills. Some fantastic big fluffy flakes earlier, now smaller but still snowing hard.

    We had the lightest of dustings this morning - then sleet/rain which washed away a lot of it. Then it stopped for a bit and now back to heavy rain with some sleet mixed in. I guess that's my lot for this winter then... Hope you lot further north get some more tomorrow

    Lots of sleet this morning, then some lovely big fluffy flakes for about an hour - now back to rain in Brecon. It's settled a bit on the cars and grass and the tops of the hills. Are we likely to see any more snow or is it most likely to be rain from now on today?

    Mostly sleet in Brecon at the moment but some snow in heavier bursts. Would love to see some proper stuff - more fun to have snow than damp and miserable on holiday!

    In Brecon on hols at the moment - was lovely to see so much snow this morning. Nothing has settled on the roads at this level but a bit on the grass etc, however it's very pretty on the hills and mountains all around. Looking forward to whatever tomorrow may bring - would be such a tragedy to be snowed in as we're due to go home on Friday!!

    Morning all Had a few flurries yesterday which settled briefly over the hills of Wycombe. Today some brief light snowfall and now sleet with the odd flake mixed in during heavier bursts. Going to Brecon tomorrow until Friday for a half term holiday - not sure whether I'd be better off here or in Wales in terms of the white stuff. Would love to get snowed in there - and so would my kids!

    Fabulous! My kids will be delighted! I guess driving might be a bit tricky though? I don't really want to get stuck with 2 six year olds and a 3 year old in the car! Oh well, you can't have it both ways! Hope you don't mind if I pop in here over the next few days to keep an eye on what's happening?

    Good morning, lovely Welsh people! I am spending half term in Brecon with my family - travelling on Monday and returning on Friday. Does anyone have any idea what we can expect? Looks a bit messy at the moment! I wouldn't mind getting snowed in though Thanks!

    Left my friend's house last night - no snow - got home which is about 2 miles away and we had a dusting Only about 0.5 cm but enough to look pretty and it's still here this morning I think hope neilsouth posted in this thread by accident - otherwise that's just gloating

    Thanks for popping in, Ian! I hope you're right as I'm getting snow withdrawal symptoms here Hard frost here this morning and lots of sunshine. I guess it's better than mild. I was standing in the playground the other day and someone mentioned more snow on the way (ha ha) and everyone around me groaned! I had to keep quiet. Does anyone else feel they have to hide their addiction in the face of such disapproval??

    Turned back to light rain now but left a covering on grass and cars after about an hour of heavy snow. Quite a bonus when I wasn't really expecting anything!

    Heavy snow here in High Wycombe, Bucks for about the last 45 mins. Settling on grass, cars and slightly in trees and hedges. I'm sure it will melt as soon as it stops.

    Heavy wet snow - big flakes falling here now. Settling slightly on grass - layer of slush on the car.

    Heavy rain/sleet here at the moment with the odd wet flake mixed in. No way it will settle even if it turns completely to snow - ground is way too wet. However, I live in the valley, so it may be more snowy at the tops of the hills. Edited to say that heavy wet snow is falling now

    Sleety rain here - is that a technical expression?? LOL I had so many people complaining that there was snow on the forecast yesterday - what's wrong with them?? Lucky I can come here to feed my addiction because I can't admit it to them! Ooops - edited to add that some wet flakes are coming down now Oh no - back to sleet. No chance of anything settling though - too wet.
