It's rain

Yes - that little band of snow hit South Bucks at school run time. Lovely big fluffy flakes but only settled on lying snow - not on roads. A lovely surprise though. Still going with smaller flakes now

Our tiny flake snizzle snow had stopped and I was expecting nothing more - but went out on the school run and had about an hour of lovely decent sized flakes. Have gone small again now. I got back and looked at the radar and a little snake of heavier snow made it's way over South Bucks just at the right time

Sounds like a wise decision. I'm beginning to wish I'd kept my daughter at home - not really looking forward to going to get her. Luckily my parents live around the corner from her school in Bourne End so they can always go and get her if I get stuck. The tiny flakes of the last hour or so have pretty much stopped now. They didn't add much to the 3cms we had this morning. We still had a bit on the ground from last week so it's just topped up the cover. The trees look pretty again now though

I was horrified when he phoned and told me - the kids weren't too freaked out and luckily there were no cars around otherwise he would have hit one but it's just not worth the risk. Will have to go and get my daughter later though ... Probably good practice to learn to drive in this! LOL

What is going on with the Met Office weather warnings? Our region is sticking right into the orange area but is still a stubborn yellow! We have 3cms and still snowing. My daughter's school is open and my husband spun the car round 3 times while on the school run. He gave up on taking my son to nursery

Very light dusting this morning in High Wycombe. Only on the cars really. We still have quite good cover from last week but it is slowly diminishing. My daughter's school is open for the first time since Tuesday - she's not happy!

My husband just came in and said 'Nice day!' without a trace of sarcasm - grrrrr!

Thanks for that TEITS! Is there any chance of South Bucks getting anything - I think we may be west enough but possibly too far south? Very IMBY I know but am getting a bit depressed!

I'm also on the red wine - maybe would be more appropriate!

Thanks TEITS! That sounds a lot more promising than Rob's forecast - I usually enjoy his forecasts but that was not as good as usual. Light snow - pah! How picky we've become! LOL

I feel the same on the other thread - South Bucks is very borderline! Will have to lurk here too

Thanks I've been here long enough to have worked out the best commentators - which is why I'd like to stay here! My original point was that South Bucks (rather than Milton Keynes, for example) is really borderline but I feel more comfortable here. I'll probably post here and lurk on the other thread! And now back to the weather... I did really well out of the snow on Tue/Wed so am just being greedy now, but would reeeeeeallly like a top up tomorrow night Edited to add that we are doing really well - page 14 already and not much snow to speak of at the moment LOL

Thanks LizzieLoo It was just the number of posts that seemed to want to get Bucks out of this thread. Have to say - I am more borderline than you but I really don't want to hear about the Kent stuff and most of the showers are coming from EA so it's more relevant to me at the moment. I doubt if anyone will want hear my snow reports though as it will already have passed you lot by! I guess I'll just have to thread hop
