  1. 0.5 milliKentimetres...on the Murr scale. I honestly think we'll see 10cm now. The snow Gods from the South and East are aligning in a curved arc. Orion's bow is upon us.
  2. Reminds me of an old forum name I had once, somewhere; here/Met Monkey/BBC Snowwatch can't remember ashtla expected snow that's wagered on (depth, size of flakes)
  3. Frakking chalk hills. No good to anybody..but the Romans.. and Laurie Lee.
  4. Agreed. ppn feeding into the South coast looks to be pepping up also. Definite pivot on the band to our East.
  5. Been snowing light stuff all day but very little to show for it. I hope we'll see a few cms starting any time now.
  6. Don't give up yet! I reckon we will see the streamer to the East get re-invigorated by and merge with the wrap-around of the small low/disturbance before it heads SW.
  7. Just been playing 'flash the torch' with other snow-watchers about half a mile away across the Frome valley in Frampton Cotterell. I received back some morse-coded back-garden floodlights, fricking hilarious.
  8. Good to see that disturbance looking intact tomorrow, especially for those a bit further down in the SW. Could get hammered!
  9. Bletchley Park well worth a visit! I'm sure she'll be fine today. The motorways and A roads should be OK, at least, until this evening.
  10. Jumped the gun, I suspect. There will be nowt for a while. Still, it was heavy for a bit.
  11. The Japanese model JMA 18z has a real love affair for the SW on Sunday: Everybody West of the M5 but including secretive patches of Dorset, Bristol, Gloucs, BANES and Wilts, even the Hants, Oxons and Berks that venture in here (and Cardiff). Everybody is welcome. Let's eat Sushi.
  12. Euro4 18z. Streams of flurries on and off for 24 hours or so into our zone during late Sat/Sunday but accumulation seems poor except usual high ground: Cots, Exmoor, Dartmoor. Some accumulations at lower levels of c. 5cm from Dorset in an arc NW through Somerset towards North Devon Sunday. Be interesting to watch again and rate how the various ppn models do. Hoping (and thinking) there will be a fair bit more for some.
  13. You're losing your touch, mate. Why be so verbose when 5 simple words will do?
