I think I'd rather be where you are!

18Z says: Big Daddy Atlantic low (hardly trying to break through) spawning 3 channel lows in a wraparound train effect ending in a col. Snow in many places nationwide during this period.
Gets juicier at 270 but the cold pool has gone. Out there is well into la la land. Interesting early spring.- 3

Just to let you all know snowing in Swansea on it way to you!
Porlock, Minehead, Watchet might get lucky (and places further inland).

Couple of flakes just dropped. Nice crescent moon to South East. Might get a dusting by morning if we're lucky, according to radar. Back to bed!

Purples over UK and Eire (low thicknesses). I've seen -4 to -8 850s over plenty of controls and spaghetti perts in the last couple of days. Chances of lows, mini lows, troughs and features in the flow....
Looks like we'll get till Thursday in the sub -3 850s
Interesting to watch over the next couple of days. Good luck all.

Yeah it's gusty here now and again. Plenty more to come over the next few days, it looks like.

Streamer setting up from the Bristol Channel - snow showers expected in next hour.
Would like to see it slightly further south, but yeah, could get an overnight dusting.
-
Little streamer building in the Channel?
Edit: Higher res models show it into Wales later this evening but looks like some of it might land further East to me

Went for a walk up Juniper today (about 180meters asl) took the truck up the icy lane and parked at the farm.
Absolutely zero melt at this elevation and a winter wonderland three days after the fall, that’s extremely rare, I can only remember the snow staying like this a few times in the last 15 years.
I was hoping for some sunshine but the clouds have only just cleared.
Cows needed their troughs broken (bad farm practice tbh) they were very thirsty.
a few “fence post snowmen/lady’s as well.
Overall a beautiful, if not blooming freezing walk.
Optimal use of the rosehip after vit C survival tea and itching powder!

Raining in St Ives so there's precip under the dark blue/green on the radar.

We'll have no talk of that country in here!

It's cold here so a snow covering will persist. (Makes a change)

Do we think this will make it to Oxford? Would be exciting!
Think you'll get a light snow covering out of this looking at the radar

Little bit of backfill coming into play as the circulatory low drops down the West of Wales. Looks good for North Devon. Good luck everyone.

Nice covering (few cms) everywhere except any surfaces that retained warmth - so roads/pavements/concrete still clear/wet.
