I'm in Aylesbury further north of you and I thought we were all in the firing line? It's not meant to intensify more until the early hours? Still plenty of time no? The BBC forecast at 10 showed very heavy showers all over our area!

Saw these clouds in Aylesbury today. I thought these were Mammatus clouds but they're only associated with severe thunderstorms right? Can anyone clarify?

The precipitation peps up, then dissipates and then peps up again in roughly the same line. It was to the south of Aylesbury early morning, then it was to the north over Milton Keynes mid morning and now it's starting up again with a direct hit. Finally. lol. Why is this?

Well that was unexpected! An impressive 5cm here in Aylesbury! Still snowing lightly with the temperature hovering just above 0 at 0.3 Celsius

Seeing these clouds build in front of me. Not sure if it bodes well for someone further north of me because Buckinghamshire isn't due any rain?? Looks beautiful though!

Big thunderstorm here. Bright flashes of lightning and huge loud rumbles of thunder. Hailstones covering everything. Crazy!

Looks to be getting a little stormier here. The picture doesn't do it justice. Looks really thundery. Heavier precip seems to be developing to my west on radar. Fingers crossed it goes bangggg

Think I give up hope now.
Aylesbury has had naff all. A few distant rumbles and a couple flashes. Seems to have formed around us and moved north. I'm a major storm lover so it hurts

Have some lightning flashing away to the north of us. No thunder. No rain, very eerie!

The thunderstorm earlier missed us here in Aylesbury, Bucks, menacing looking clouds! Just looked at the radar and a lot of precip seems to be forming around me. Hopefully I'll here a bang soon!!!

The island to the west of Italy has just blown up in storms. Wow. Can't wait for the storms to hit here.! I hope they hold off til after 10pm seeing as I have work until then!
