My little gadget on the desktop of my laptop is saying -17C in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. LOL
-
Woo, woke up and have 12cm of snow on the ground and still falling. Should have some moderate to heavy snow in another 20mins i guess. :)
-
Woohey, snowing here, got a nice light dusting here. Was a nice surprise, wasn't expecting anything yet lol
-
Ha! Thunder and lightning here. An amazing blue flash and a long loud rumble of thunder. Very unexpected lol
Snow cover really is melting away now sadly. Won't be having a white xmas now then, so close to the day!
-
Snow should be around until about 3am-6am, although it is fizziling out quite rapidly now and its not even midnight! lol, still aslong as i keep what i have here which is about an inch then i'll be happy!
Roads really are treacherous! Was out in the car earlier whilst the heavy snow was about, one particular hill where people struggled to get up just slid back down again. It was unbelievable. The best thing of all was at the otherside was a hospital! lol
Also 4 jackknifed lorries and a standstill all around the Aylesbury area. Max speed on the roads, 5-10mph MAX! lol (admittedly some people are over cautious

Pff, imo I find Accuweather complete rubbish! Here hoping for some snow tomorrow night, bbc has it shown. Im just going to wait, it's all about the nowcasting tomorrow as it was last night
-
People were saying snow for Monday, BBC were saying for it to be heavy for me. Hmmm, seems to have dissapeared on Netweather and BBC, from the update of the 00Z run. Temps seem to be forecast a little higher too!
-
-
Yeah was 1.6C here.. Snows melting on trees and stuff, warmest it's been in ages. Just want the cloud to clear and temps to go down now. The crazy warnings of snow amounted to less than 1cm.
I know! But if we were that little further SouthEast we would have got a hammering! It looked good here at the beginning but amounted to nothing, snow passed us very quickly, ahwell. BBC have us down for Heavy Snow on Monday (probably Night). Lets see lol
-----Oh and RunBoy, that pics pretty good

people in Bucks........post your temps?
Here in Aylesbury, 1.2C
-
stopped snowing in wycombe yet heavy snow expected tommorow
Heavy snow tomorrow? In the Bucks region? Nah i don't think so
EDIT: Sorry, i forgot its past midnight, haha :(
-
Yeah, Birmingham is a big place mind. North Birmingham have only got a slight dusting out of this so not good at all. Resembles more of a severe frost, than actual snow cover in places. But yeah, other places not too far away have probably got about an inch of snow, so not a total loss.
Just been reading up on the snowstorm affecting the east coast of the U.S, with 22" expected to fall in Baltimore, Washington. Extreme conditions taking place over there at the moment. Back to here, and you have severe weather warnings for 2" of snow.
I know! Unbelievable! :o
Oooooh what id give for 22inches of the white stuff!
-
Well that was all a bit rubbish, about 2cm of snow and now its milder than its been in the past 48 hours, up at 0.9C. A very slight thaw setting in.
Exactly the same thing here! Except not even 2cm
If i was that little firther Southeast i would have been in the chance of having an hours worth of moderate to heavy snow........instead though I got 5mins of heavy snow and the rest was crap, all for being that much further Northwest....darrrrrrrn it just makes me want to scream! lol
EDIT: Btw, it happens on many occassions and i really don't know why!! ?
-
Enjoy your 5 minutes of snow.
Darn it! Was good ...... while it lasted :p lol
-
Sadly not joking.
It was a non-event but for about 5 minutes.
Looking at the radar I think only Norfolk & Suffolk stand a chance of getting anything out of this.
Woohooo! U had me scared, but huge flakes coming out of those clouds now, 50p sized and covering already
-
For about 2 minutes then rain...over and out.
Was a total waste of time.... No covering at all.
Oh no! Your jokinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng?!!!
-

Well this run has upgraded my chances of seeing snowfall on Christmas Day! from 00:00 to 09:00 xmas morning theres a 70% risk. Wont keep my hopes up obviously, but is nice to see!
-
The colder air is tucking in behind the front. Any temp rises are temporary!
So, by the time the front reaches Buckinghamshire/London Areas southwards the warm air wil be no more?
-
Hi Guys, looking forward to this!
Is the warm air on the leading edge of the band then? Is that all the way across? In the West or what? Sorry if it's a silly question <_<
-
-
When is this lump of snow up north going to start heading south??
It's starting to make it's way south now
-
Woohooo Blizard like conditions here in AYLESBURY :) ....well well, who would have thought lol, the long line of snow doesn't look as promising as it was earlier though, looks to be breaking up and fragmenting now thats in line with me!! grrr lol
-
Hmmm, i MIGHT have spoken too soon. The 'Shower Train' seems to be nudging a little further West to affect me.....Time will tell hehe!!! (funny how little things can lift your spirits in a v.short time lol! )

Yes, I recorded -16C here, just East/NE of Oxford, amazing stuff!
