Storms aren't going to be dying away anytime soon for us in Central Southern England are they?
If they do, then DOH!
But some extremely impressive thunderstorms to the East, if only I could drive, it would literally take me about 1 1/2 hours!

Just out of curiosity, when are these storms set to die down for central southern England (Bucks, Herts, MK)?
Just I have'nt had a storm yet lol!,
I have just checked the Cape, and im in the 800's

Convection here is going nuts, the sky is full of Tcu and Cu-congestus, you can watch them growing before your eyes. Some are amazing look like mushroom clouds from a nuclear explosion, this white towers with billowing colliflower heads on top. Fingers crossed it's gonna go bang soon, keeping my eyes on radar, anything thats normally around oxford makes a b-line towards here
Yeah, you just have a shower developing to the NE of mk, im south of you and the sky looks pretty dull now

Erm, your mentioning of storms being active later in the evening 5pm onwards? BBC say the showers/storms will die down evening time, or will be near enough out to sea, yet I have a 71% chance of thunderstorms at 19:00pm onwards?!
Where are these storms most actually most likely gonna be this evening then, from your point of views? Buckinghamshire area? lol

Wow, Just saw some sheet lightning reach out near the edge of the storm
Is this true that lightning can strike with a clear blue sky?

Ahhh why do cells detour around me at the last moment? lol, it happened yesterday aswell, head right for ya and then they go south.
Weird, im hoping for more to develop here anyhow

Very loud rumble of thunder here. Dogs have started barking, no rain though.
Edit: Constant rumbles of thunder, no lightning.

Wind has really picked up here now with the approach of this shower, looks very ominous, but looking at the radar is very small

Oh maaaaaan, that thunderstorm/torrential rain mass has been to the south of me for the past 1 1/2 hrs, was then moving to the N/W all be it very slowly and now it decides to move south! WHY? lool

Is it heading west?
Seems to be very slightly NW

I'm not far from Hemel Hempstead and we have had very large hail/heavy rain/quite a bit of thunder and some electrical activity!
Wow...very large hail?
Able to get any pictures uploaded?

Have to do a 38mile sponsored cycleride in a little while, im dreading going out in this really heavy rain...gonna make the ride a whole lot harder anyway lol <_<

Just keeping an eye out on the cell to my West, not thundery though. The weekend is an interesting one, Meto really going for this persistent heavy rain for the West Midlands tomorrow, but what excites me is Sunday where heavy showers are meant to break out widely across the Midlands. Hopefully the high CAPE values and lapse rates should help for the development of storms.
For once, I hope not. Got a 38mile cycleride to do!

Oxford is getting battered right now, 120-150 rainfall rates. Wonder if it will keep together to reach me? Hope so
