    Hi all. A quick question, I am still learning here. I read a comment that stated the pressure was too high for snowfall at the moment and it needed to fall below 980? Is this correct.

    Going to Valencia on Sunday for 18 days... yehaaa. I just hope the weather is better than it was when we went last August. Torrential rain and wind for 5 days. According to the locals this was rather odd. Holding thumbs it is nice and hot.

    Holy smoke batman. Just lost 3 panels on my conservatory roof and my front door awning went flying down the road.

    Have decided to sell wetsuit and snorkel on ebay... would be willing to trade for a submarine. Any takers? Insane amount of rain, bucketing down. Speaking of buckets I need to go empty the one catching all the water coming in through my conservatory roof!

    Lots of reports on twitter about trees blocking roads in Epsom and now a house fire in the area too. I have heard multiple roof tiles fly off. On the bright side my conservatory repairs seem to be holding.

    im also with virgin and have been having problems the whole day. On my mobile now and the signal keeps disappearing too.

    Yikes. .. conservatory roof emergency repairs done. Had to just bash in a few nails and brace it down. Panels were starting to lift. Velux window has lost its seal and rain is pouring into my bedroom, awning blown off over my front door. Fence down and roof tiles flying off. Merry Blinking Christmas to me. Blah

    Morning peeps. Very foggy and chilly. Saw the most beautiful frozen spiderwebs, feeling very cold though waiting for the bus that is never on time.

    Having been through 6 hurricanes and numerous tropical storms and depressions when I lived in Florida, I can tell you that violent wind gusts and sustained winds are not much fun. Don't get me wrong my love of all things weatherly (yes that is a word in my book) where born from tracking and learning about said hurricanes.Even have a hurricane weather symbol tattoo . I have been through numerous storm warnings and watching people ignore them because "the last one was just a bunch of hype", has lead me to learn a hard lesson. I did ignore a warning once and ended up with garden furniture flying through my living room window... You have no idea how much damage a plastic garden chair can do if it is hurled at a plate glass window at 80mph! I do find myself rambling here, moral of the story is. Take a prudent course without panic. Remove anything from your yard if it could possibly turn into a projectile! Stay safe all ... oh and please don't leave animals outside. Puppys and kittys tend not to enjoy the saying raining cats and dogs.

    That pressure system is on par with a cat 2 hurricane (not wind speed) which is Approximately 979-965 mb
