  1. Lovely cold and clear morning here, sky a deep blue and warmth of the sun, like going skiing ! looks like little chance that front gets up to us today, will barely reach the far north of england
  2. Definitely looks like a streamer set up between eyemouth and gorebridge. heres hoping it shifts north later ! As always here in this set up i look to see if it hits Dunbar !
  3. If they are as heavy as these ones they are easily going to get across to Currie ! IMG_0163.MOV
  4. im on the east coast train south of berwick and some impressive looking snow showers here, will see if i get some decent pics and upload coming down sideways at berwick!
  5. They’ve stopped flights in and out of London city and there is genuinely not even a flake here, ridiculous
  6. Can’t help but feel there are going to be some very disappointed folks tomorrow esp south of the M4
  7. I’m in London tonight and will report on the non event this will most likely be !
  8. Yes seems to be a trend. Northern England will get most of it lovely morning here, clear blue skies and doesn’t ‘feel’ that cold esp with the sun out off to the airport to go to London for work so will see what they get. Spoiler alert. Sweet fanny Adams !
  9. The Mad thread has 20 pages on if fronts will be 50 miles north or south for what will in all likelihood be 2-3 cms of wet snow at elevation and sleety pish at ground level!
  10. Yep, I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if we see lying snow in Edinburgh but let’s see. Hard enough to get it in January let alone march !
  11. not convinced at all by any prolonged cold spell, maybe some snow in favoured spots. One thing that will be nice is if any cold airstream brings clearer skies as sun is getting stronger now and had enough of slate grey nothingness
  12. Indeed and that's if any of these day 9/10 charts come off. Never underestimate the good old tiny little shortwave somewhere at T+72 derailing a cold spell. Personally be glad to see the back of slate gray skies and see some spring showers with warming sun in between
  13. I suspect, rather like bears in reverse, the winter folk will soon begin their spring + summer hibernation Lets hope its long, warm and sunny !
  14. Lovely day here, spring like, can feel the warmth of the sun outside.almost beer garden time ! I see the mad thread is back at 10 day winter wonderland charts, as above not really interested now, let’s just get spring started thought this was interesting in terms of patterns of recent snowfall. Not pretty reading if you like snow and live in the NW!
  15. It’s nice to look at but next to no chance it comes off , looks like there is a chance of some sort of last wintry blast before spring though
  16. I’m longing for spring and warm sunshine now tbh. Winter can do one !
  17. As someone said in the MAD thread i cant be bothered if its bone chilling cold with no snow, just ice and grit and dirty car ! no thanks
  18. Out walking the dog today and could feel some warmth from the sun, was nice! Roll on spring
  19. Let’s call it as it is, very poor output for coldies but the last few weeks has been wintry for many so chins up !
  20. Looks like a cold rain fest in the SE, was it ever going to be anything else? And can someone tell me the last time a U.K. HP cell moved northwards (and didn’t topple SE)? Must have been a long time ago now. At least it’s going to dry out a bit
