Good luck to those in south.
It seems to have fizzled out after it looked like it was building north for a little while.

Afternoon all, as it's now officially blinking cold out thought it was about time to check in for the season. Apologies to all you regulars for trespassing in your space, can't help myself, merest whiff of a snowflake, I'm instantly 7 again and this is the best place ever for mutual excitement/wishful thinking/commiserating.
Locals round here are reporting the goats have come down off the top of the hills and are wandering around Cheddar Gorge, apparently a guaranteed sign of cold weather setting in. Can't personally verify this as in the two years we've lived here, I've only seen 29 snowflakes. Coming home today about 4pm it was 2c on top of the Mendips, 4c down here in the Cheddar Valley. Not holding my breath for the 30th snowflake to appear but the hills are literally at the end of my street, a short walk to snowy hilltops.
Good evening Jethro,
I've moved back to shepton mallet around 140m so slightly more hope but I can walk up long hill myself too.
Local weather shows showers widely but hit and miss.

Morning All, some welcomed clear juice this morning, but everything has dried, so the late risers wouldn't even know it happened. The overnight low of 12.9°C at: 02:16, has risen to 19.9°C, RH 71% feeling muggy this morning compared to recent, with light air movement from the E.
From Above, partly cloudy would apply
Down on Golden Sands, hazy sunshine, but extremely quiet on the beach. I do wonder if the recent event and its undisclosed cause is having an impact on the numbers?
UKV for tomorrow 14:00 suggests it'll be the East that gets the rain and it misses us again.
Feels like winter all over again... maybe it will build west from there?

We miss out again. Even worse things is, it looks like all we'll get is the crud from the storms. Might not even get any rain.
I just wanted the rain for my lawn and veg plot. Looks like I'll need the sprinkler again.

Looks like missing our area unfortunately.
Looks like a bust for us...
I can't work it out because the bbc forecast shows a direct hit for us between now and midnight?

Very disapointed but not surprised... All storms forming to north east of here.

Where is my sunshine.....
I thought sunday was going to be sunny from mid morning but cloud remains thick enough for patchy drizzle currently.
