Same here in Pucklechurch, they have me down for heavy snow all day tomorrow but I dont see that on any other output.
Same for Bradford on Avons forecast but it isn't correct I can assure you of that.

Amazing how showers can make it all way a cross England and Wales crossing welch mountains but can't make it over relatively flat ground to the west country!

Few tweets from Ian this evening regarding the medium range output later this week;
Seems as though the prolonged colder but drier outlook is gaining some traction now. As I expected, and feared, Thursday/Fridays snow potential really struggling to make it this far NE in the region (with the caveat that things can and will still change).
Don't mind prolonged cold and dry once we have the snow on ground.
Whats more likely is cold block holds all at bay until it then folds like a wet paper napkin and we get rain.

Can't see much making its way to west country at moment.

Your asl is irrelevant. Marginality is one thing we don't have to worry about over the next few days.
Anything that falls from the sky for our area will be of snow. The trouble is finding something to fall from the sky.
Lets hope we get the stalling front followed by cold victory then rinse repeat a few times going through feb.

You are in a half decent position. I would go high and aim for a 15 minute flurry of I were you.
hmm problem is I am only 30m asl currently I am petrified of marginal events later in week.

I’ve lost my positive attitude of yesterday and now see no hope on the horizon. I know we are less than a day in but it looked so promising a few days ago
Pull yourself together!
I'm looking forward to my 5 min flurry this winter.

South west really scraping barrel though at least anything that did fall might hang around for a few days for lucky few.

At least while our blizzards here in west country are delayed a little it has allowed this cold dry easterly to dry out our surfaces a little ready and cool it all down.

GFS 18Z, run of the bloody century, absolutely bitterly cold right out to the end of the run. Absolutely insane that run!, don't think anyone has seen anything like that in the Internet era.
Any snow for us though?
Just logged in and scuttling off to look

Already a couple of degrees colder than METO forecast here, could tonight be an all snow event????
It can only be a good thing but i expect temperature to rise as cloud cover increases later?

Can’t you just go Skiing NK? You’re usually selflessly sorting out snow for the rest of us!
We’d send you pictures
Oh I wish I could! Maybe next year that can happen.

Ian Fergusson’s thoughts
W COUNTRY TONIGHT-SUN AM: Yellow warning from @metoffice for snow & ice, valid 9pm Sat to 10am Sun. Models vary re potential snow extent/coverage later tonight for our region, albeit agree on the muted amounts (perhaps ~1-3cm parts of uplands Glos, Wilts, NE Som). Ice wider issue
Lets hope this isnt the defining event for the great cold spell of winter 2021

Met office have changed there 6-30 day outlook about 50 times in the last week. I wouldn’t even go by it, last week it was high pressure building to north of country and battle ground events. Hardly looking that way is it? Are you talking about the channel low or tommrow? Because channel lows are unpredictable
Yes the warning im talking about is tonights and sundays so we less than 24 hours away which i would expect them to have a better handle of than the 6 - 30 day forecast but who knows it could change for better.
Chanel low is a chance but I think it will clip southern most areas. dorset may have a chance, we need to see upgrades.

BBC weather has one out if this is what you are referring too?
If they use the met office one then yes it only includes north east fringe of west country and wording says this -
"Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow, the latter mainly over hills, moving westwards across the area during Saturday night. This will lead to 1-4 cm of snow accumulating in places, mainly above 200-300 metres."
That is a non event for the west country in my eyes.

Eh? There’s a snow and ice warning out for tonight.
Only for north east of region abover 200 m?

Nice to see warnings of snow everywhere except for the west country on met office.
Surely we can strike it lucky once over the coming days?

Your forgetting the the Norfolk Broads though, that ppn will have a hard time crossing the mountainous terrain to reach us.
