Yes evaporative cooling could make things very extreme tonight, I expect to see some reasonoble snowfall later giving accumalations I dont wanna be specific yet though because I might jinx the whole thing Current temp 2.1c now going by car thermometer :lol: still persistant sleet here can see a few wet flakes mixed in which is a first
  5. I'm pleased your getting heavy snow settling, where in the vicinity do you live. stroud and mincinhampton should be fairing well now
  6. well it's snowing in tetbury my old town about 35 miles from here, which means stroud should be getting it now as it's high up there
  7. You dont sound very confident dont worry it's a cert that we'll get snow tonight just don't know what time it will fall yet. I think temps seem to be responding well at the moment

Hey there had much snow in tetbury over the last week, I lived there for over 15yrs and can remenber many a memorable snow event for the town 91 and 2000 springs to mind I used to live in conygar road number 40 opposite northfield garage. Temps falling rapidly here little rissington reporting 1.5c although I think the car thermometer is faulty it was reading 3.5 half hour ago it's colder than that
  9. still moderate rain/sleet here current temp 4c, I reckon we wont see our snow until after 7pm the temp is in no hurry to fall yet although definate chill in the air :huh:
  10. Any reports of snow falling in the cotswolds yet albeit wet, sitting here right now it's hard to beleive that were gonna get snow and blizzards in the next 5-6hrs cold sleety rain here at the moment
  11. It's alright mate just watched it on sky, game on from 5pm up until 2am for heavy snow rob m was confident :lol:

  13. I was watching bbci about 10 mins ago, if thats true only another 5 hours before we start to see it fall
  14. I see we are forcast for the snow to start falling around midnight tonight right through until 6am. looks like another all nighter again for me :ph34r:

  16. I know it does I can't believe it either, but it does look to be an extremely unstable storm tommorow night with evaporative cooling a real possibility, maybe some thundersnow thrown in for good measure too
  17. Dogs your up and down like a yo yo at the moment after seeing mr wyne's forecast earlier we look to be in the firing line tommorow for the heavier snow?

  21. yes were due some heavier snow around 6pm according to bbc beta, I know I was thinking of going again but was worried I might get caught up in it. Heavy snow is back now not as wet

  23. Hi welcome to the netwather forum, nice to know your getting the white stuff in cirencester, I used to live in tetbury 10 miles down the road from ciren has tetbury had much during the week. currently moderate wet snow here. massive thick flakes coming down thick and fast proper snow now
