  2. Dont worry you'll be alright, might not be as busy up there now if you do, head for the north facing side looking towards broadway some great photo ops there.
  3. Yes they are mate, I strongly advise you go up there's some stunning photo ops watch out for the deep snow it can catch you out but it's fun all the same :o wet snow falling here now looks promising.

  6. Who said this, was it the countryfile forecast the latest bbci said monday evening rushour could be a problem for heavy snowfall but she didn't emphasise on it much?
  7. I thought we were forcast rain for later on tonight?
  8. Well after seeing the forcasts this morning flooding is gonna be a real possibility in parts of the south next week, coupled with snow melt this is gonna go from one extreme to the other in a space of a week, added to the threat of heavy snow for the south it all makes for a topsy turvy week of weather watching. Anyone in the vacinity been up CH today, I have real proper compacted snow now after a few nights hard frost and add to that snow drifts to which the like I've not seen in a while were talking in excess of 3ft here. sledgers dog walkers even snow boarders the lot and and the dog really enjoying himself made for an eventful hour or so
  9. Well It looks like the specifics have changed since this afternoon going by the healthy banter on the snow watch thread tonight It certainly is one to watch I can feel another all nighter coming on monday night
  10. Ah right That's good then I haven't checked the forcasts today to busy worrying about the football
  11. Yes indeed it looks like we may have another bite at the cherry then but I think it could more like a damp squib of an event Think I'll be up CH tommorow too see how bad the snowdrifts are there looked to be some serious amounts up there when I viewed going in chelts yesterday, just a thick blanket of white as for as the eye can see Iv'e been itching to get up there these last few days.
  12. Well what a pleasent suprise it was this morning to wake up at 8am and be greeted with heavy snowfall. I knew it was coming really, but I was just to tired for another late nighter, still got very light snow falling here and 3cm level snow with a further 4-5cm in fields in exposed areas The whole bus net work is cancelled this this morning but stagecoach said they would asses the situation later when I phoned them. That ice situation on the severn bridge sounded precarious hope no one has been seriously injured
  13. I'm calling it a night now on here, gonna watch from the comfort of my own bedroom hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to update later tommorow.
  14. yes great news, dont wanna be to frantic with the posts, to tired really for a report every ticking second
  15. Just gonna have to do the good old waiting game now Just watched the first half of the national with mr betsy looks like we are in for a pasting/angwin said snow affecting most parts of the region exception somerset
  16. With any luck then we should here the first reports coming in from stroud soon?
  17. I don't know if I have the energy in me to do another all nighter, I got major sleep depravation right now thought it was wilts and the southern most fringes of glos That were at risk of heavy snow? Think I might hit the sack for a few hours
  18. Yes it now looks like we have a further two more bites at the cherry tonight which I dont think will come too much. But sunday night has potential to be a re-run,it is 3 days away so things are subject to change, I'm not gonna be greedy though :o
  19. I know signed of at 3am and watched the snowfall for a solid 3hours, I've had only 3 hrs sleep like you but it was worth doing the late shift. Gonna take a walk around tewkesbury abbey later with the dog, it would be cleeve hill but sounds like it's cut off, how much snow is up there?
  20. yes It's brilliant Iv'e been out savouring it and enjoying it with some freinds all morning a good 5-6inches in the fields behind, and dozens of snowmen taking shape. Had heavy snow about an hour ago now back to light, just nice to see smiles on peoples faces akin to 91 it was we might get some more snow early afternoon according too bbci
