    Morning everyone. Got a view screen grabs from the videos I shot last night of the lightning to are south, although most of the lightning was up in the clouds some strikes were visible. Apologies if the quality isn't great as I'm no expert in editing they were shot on the Nikon D3200 DSLR for anyone interested in what camera they were shot from.

    Hard to say at the moment but I usually start off on the A46 by the bath junction on M4 then I'll decide whether I need to head in respect to developments.

    I do think showers will form later this afternoon if the conditions are like this further along the south coasts where wind convergence is more likely could be a interesting evening

    After the washout of the last few days it's a lovely day today shame it's coming to a end but at least I had a storm from this spell of warmth so no complaints from me

    What about July 2013 think it was the 19th or 20th a storm moved up the bristol channel coast from Weston super mare up towards Avonmouth area, that would have passed right over your house.

    8/9th may 2008 had a decent storm lasting for 6 hours around these parts does appear to be a good time for storms overall.

    Afternoon. Looking at sat24 there appears to be developments around SW London and its here where I think the first potential could happen due to it being much clearer with temps much higher and could effect through to Oxfordshire and then into the Cotswold and towards SE Wales.

    24.7C here and its lovely, as Ben mentioned cumulus clouds to my N and a clear sky to my south.

    Loads of thunder from my south and then heard more thunder to my north been better here than expected today very happy and now some more convection kicking off to my south! behind the existing storm.

    Started off cloudy then had a hour of sun got up to 22C now its gone dark to my SE!
