Expert analysis, computer models showing run after run of snow, experienced meteorologists opinions and the very clever people on NW who rarely (if ever) let me down with their excellent knowledge. That's all!- 746 replies

Can I ask how much experience you both have at forecasting/model watching please? I count myself as a rank amateur even though I have been following all of this weather forecasting shenanigans for a couple of years, yet I am certainly not seeing what you 2 are seeing. Quite the opposite.- 746 replies

How long is a piece of string? I don't see how totals can possibly be predicted with the current set up. I am sure that if I am wrong I will be corrected. -

Although I am not speaking for GLTW in any way, shape or form, I am sure that he was in no way being rude as in nasty, just rude as in sarky fun. He means nothing by it, he's just an old man who likes birds and sarcasm. Axbridge isn't that far away from me and we are expecting snow, I think it unlikely that you won't see any. I personally don't rate the NW snow forecast risk that much, the radar is a good investment at £3 (ish) for a month on NW extra. That is much more reliable in a shorter timeframe. Because the models keep chopping and changing I am not sure that anyone will know anything until they look out of their windows and see snow. -

V. true. I checked NW whilst shopping and stocked up on Merlot, whisky, bread and milk. Tis a valuable service you have here. Mullender, you bought the prize yet for the snowman comp? If not you had better get to it before your snowed in up your hill. Is the radar showing some snow coming up for some of us? Obviously this evening, not Friday incase anyone is confused. -

According to Meto app it is 1c here but believe me it feels much colder than that, we still have frost on the ground in places. -

What has happened to our snow? BBC are showing nothing for the SW! When I went to bed 7 hours ago we were having a whiteout. Local BBC weather is showing snow. Tres confused now! -

I have just got in from work and have read all 12 pages. I have chosen to only read and believe: Snowmageddon Blizzards throughout the SW which will look pretty and not spoil the enjoyment Feet and feet of snow 36 hours of constant snow Snowman competition, the winner wins a large bottle of whisky courtesy of Mullender. That about sums it up for me. -
It's all looking exciting for later on IMBY, we even have a snow warning which we didn't have yesterday. Although my height isn't that great so I am expecting very little in my actual garden. If you all don't mind I would rather concentrate my lack of knowledge on tonight and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Everyone had a good day?

This mornings local weather showed dry and cold for more or less the rest of the week. Do we believe that? -

But the NAE shows snow all over the SW at midnight which spells lots of snow to me. Or am I being thick?
