No Sky here either. I need a BBC weather forecast dammit! The child (well she's 22, but you know what I mean) stayed up all night to watch the snow come in, now she has gone to bed as she is tired. What's the point of having kids if they won't go out to play with you?! All those years of sleepless nights, all that money spent on presents and holidays, all the money I spent putting her through her education... Selfish girl!

@marknealweather on Twitter has the most beautiful radar image on his timeline, seriously gorgeous. I have added his name as don't want to steal his grab, it seems rude. But if you have twitter then go and look. Edit> Doh! Just seen that he is a member on here. If he made his twitter name and netweather name clearer then I may have made the connection lol

I am such a numpty. I have been reading with interest, looking at my radar and thinking that you were all in la la land, nothing showing on my nw radar, then I hit refresh! I have only just cracked open the wine as well, so no excuses. I have just said this to the daughter, she informs me that it has said 2pm for hours. She obviously hasn't been listening to anything I have been saying for the last hour.

I have a lovely bottle of wine ready to be cracked and our snow is due from about 2am, if it doesn't come then I will be working on little sleep and a hangover. This is a real weather dilemma for me. I have nothing to add re) weather. It's dismal and grey outside with nothing falling from the sky. I just wanted to let you all know I am still alive.- 746 replies

Serious post shocker from me. Can we please make sure that we all check on the oldies etc. This is looking far more serious than a bit of pretty snow to make everyone smile and for us to play in. As we all know, extreme weather like this can have a really bad knock on effect for those who are elderly, have disabilities... In Dec 10 my neighbour got really peed off with me knocking on her door asking her if she needed cat food.- 746 replies

Well the national weather forecast on the BBC was a nice surprise to wake up to. Now I just need to rid myself of the lurgy so I can go out and play. Is there a rain band forecast to come up after the snowmageddon or am I seeing things?- 746 replies

Ah let the trolls play, they are keeping me entertained whilst I am poorly sick. I have even rung in sick for tomorrow which is totally unheard of, I must be the only person in the world who gets insomnia through taking night nurse. This had better be gone before snowmageddon or I won't be able to go out to play. Edit> I may be unfair calling them trolls, after all we are all entitled to our own opinions, each to their own etc. Although probably best not to make uneducated comments on a message board full of (wannabe and proper grown up) meteorologists.- 746 replies
