SunnyG I thought last week was cold in Zurich. That looks frigid. The best thing I can say about the weather this morning is it's "useable". Light winds, dry, but cloudy now after some early brightness. Doesn't look like lasting unfortunately.

Yep it was chilly but actually felt pretty warm in the sunshine today despite it only being about 12/13c.

It’s its cold out there, not too pleasant unless you’re wrapped up! This is what makes Spring at times the most infuriating season. If we had this weather in Winter we wouldn’t mind, but in Spring our expectations rise. That schizophrenic nature of the weather at this time of year can be very frustrating. 21c and sunny last Saturday. 11c this weekend. Wet and cold during the coming week.

It is strange to think this time last week I was out in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops, it was that warm. The joys of Spring - the most schizophrenic season there is.

May 2020 by some distance. May 2018 had some very warm and humid weather, but there were also storms around whereas 2020 was pretty much bone dry with loads of sunshine.

Especially if it's just the stock iphone or android weather app you're using. I get why the layman may use those, but weather nuts like us shouldn't go anywhere near those!

The Met Office forecast from yesterday (see below) looks pretty bang on. Cloudy, chilly, damp morning to be replaced by showers in the afternoon:

Alderc 2.0 it was always a very flimsy high, and with the Euro trough gaining strength and pushing west, it's being blown away.

It's more over the weekend. But even that isn't looking as robust as it once was, and it is also going to be chillier than was forecast a couple of days ago.

Cloud seeding wouldn’t have caused this deluge…. What is cloud seeding and did it cause Dubai flooding? WWW.BBC.CO.UK Dubai has been hit by record floods, sparking misleading speculation about cloud seeding.

To be fair, it’s a pretty common synoptic set up at this time of year. It’s happened during many a Spring. Hence why the NW often see their driest weather between April and early June. -
Zurich today has been frigid. 5c to 6c with cold rain. Then some brief glimpses of the sun before more heavy showers came in. Flying home to London shortly.

B87 June 2020 is an intriguing one. Almost all of the SE region, including the eastern half of London, saw 200 hours or more, except for a small patch over west London, where Heathrow is located, and slightly north from there. This is where sometimes it’s worth looking at the map rather than stats for an individual station.
