    I can't help but laugh watching all that precipitation to the south of us.. in the Channel! it's literally kissing us. I'm watching it edge by totally bemused! Typical

    I'll just head down to the beach then and watch all our snow melt into the Channel If it does clip us here in Brighton though, i'll grab a few fans and blow some your way South Easterners. Really though, i'm actually still quite hopeful for tomorrows snow!

    To be fair, as an observer it's clear to see that this is just the beginning of a notable cold spell. I saw no fuss. Just the beginning for some snow starved people. If people are let down, perhaps they should have been a little reserved. For me, yesterday it got colder and that's just the beginning.

    It’s really fascinating stuff but Brighton looks like it will be missed this time around. Although it could be building up on the radar, looks more like rain though

    I was happy with the amount in Brighton. For a moment there it was full on and very nostalgic. Orange skies and heavy snow against the lamppost.

    It’s stopped snowing in Brighton but that was fun whilst it lasted! Much heavier than I thought. It’s like a winter wonderland out there!

    Actually on second look it wasn’t the Met O, they forecast an hour of sleet in the early hours. It was my apple weather app! Feel a bit better about it now.

    That ties in with Met Offices mention of rain for Brighton in the early hours of Friday morning
