    Heavy continuous snow in pudsey. Really starting to accumulate. Temp -1.5c. wind chill well below that in showers.

    Seem to be in the 'firing line' of showers here too. 2" max on the ground in Pudsey (550FT ASL) but temp -1.7c and much colder in wind. Even plenty of snow in Leeds city centre which is rare !!

    2c here in Pudsey. Dense fog and visibility down to 50M. Ready for the easterly to blow all this away............

    Think W Yorks might miss on the tstorms today / tomorrow. Nevermind Monday 15th & 22nd produced 2 intense storms creating significant local flooding.     Heavy snow / hail showers here at Otley. Left a good covering on the ground. Radar looking promising for these convective showers to continue here..

    On / off hail showers here in Otley NW Leeds. Just been up on moors above Otley on lunch and snowing heavily during showers up there.(900 ft asl) but not settling. Temp 5c dropping in showers

    Quality pics.. Pretty similar depth to Pudsey there as Cookridge. Got plenty of pics with the kids in the snow. Got a fantastic one on my phone from above the moors past Otley so will try and get it on. Drifted snow up to my waist and im 6' 3".

    Pretty astonishing cold spell in my opinion. Can't remember the last time snow was on ground for 10 consecutive days..? and still plenty left now. Also notable snow on ground for 7days first wk in Dec 08 so remarkable winter so far compared to recent.

    Yeh its deceptive. There is never much snow near ASDA and the bottom end of Pudsey is much lower. I work in otley Wednesdays and pass LBA and go down the Chevin. I think its about 240M at the top there. Is the top of Cookridge near the TV aerial tower?

    Im near the very top end of Pudsey. Up by The Bankhouse .Its about 185m at the top so say 175m at mine. 550Ft in old terms. Certainly helps with the snow compared to the city but not quite the height of Yeadon

    UK Met Office now going for snow showers tonight and 'heavy' ones over the Pennines. Latest radar showing snow over northern Scotland heading southwards.

    Snowing here in Nw Leeds 550 FT ASL. fine grains before but much heavier nowand starting to re-cover any meltage from today although that was fairly minimal. UKMO Radar looking promising......
