Heavy snow shower Otley N Leeds at present.

Had 7cm overnite to add to the 16cm already on the ground. Great snow though it just flies off the car like powder. Never seen our cul de sac so deep in snow. Followed the 4x4 tracks this morning otherwise a day at home. In Otltey at present and cloud building to the north. Radar looking promising again...

The front seems to have spiralled slightly north again according to METO radar.!

A couple of inches of level snow even in city centre Leeds which is rare. 4-5inches level at home this am at 7am and coming down heavy since then. looking forward to the depth when and if I get home tonite..

Wind certainly changed direction here - now NE and temp dropping. Down to 0.6c Hopefully meaning the arrival of more snow showers......?? Radar looking promising to the NE with my blinkered cap on...

Yeh light snow here Leeds 175m asl. Looks fairly promising as per radar and visual to the NNE. How ya doing up there at leeds / bradford ?

Yeh seems one heading south out of the newcastle area and another brewed up in the north sea heaing over the NY moors. Hope they converge on the Leeds area although i'm not being greedy............

Was in Holmfirth Tuesday night staying at the Huntsman Inn on the A635. Now if you want to see snow and a wild snowbound / foggy road thats the place to be. Must have put a foot of the white stuff down that night. Anybody know the elevation up there b4 I OS MAP it ?? cheers

Happy NewYear everyone. On / off light snow showers here in Pudsey as wind swings round to the NNW. Temp -1.3c and still a dusting from last night which added to the 16th consecutiveday with snow albeit some laying on the ground. Here's wishing for a great winter continuing

Heavy snow again here Pudsey. Off work today ansd building snowmen with the kids. Will try and post pics later. Will keep an eye on the raintoday radar. aka snowtoday radar.

Pudsey 175m asl. Good 2-3inches overnight and a surprise hour or so of moderate snow this morning. Snowing again now albeit light. Snow depth 11cm. Temp -0.3C. Wind variable.

Yeh last nite was a surprise. Snow then sleet but hasn't affected the snow cover here. Looks good for later plenty of convection Irish sea and drifting over the cold land towards NW Leeds. Bitterly cold at -4.5c at present here. Here's to looking to the NW

Yeh me too. I didn't really think we would be in the firing line but things improved from yesterday teatime onwards. Looking at the UKMO radar yeadon is in snow streamer line.....
