Just seen a video someone has shared of a, shall I say dust devil/whirlwind, in a field off Amounderness way near Fleetwood, clear skies and no wind today, it was spinning pretty damn fast throwing debris way up, what would cause this?

Went for a walk on the prom with my daughter today, surprised to see the grass verges completely yellow like straw, my back garden not so bad, very hard underfoot when mowing though, still, the drier it is the slower it grows

Still quite a bit of lightning in those storms that have left Dublin, if it was dark I’d probably be able to see distant flashes from here

Really starting to get wild out there now, some of these gusts must be nudging 60mph, very fine horizontal drizzle spraying, unless it’s sea spray but I’m a few miles inland so it’s travelling pretty far

Remember that month well, playing theme park on the snes constantly, with an oil filled electric radiator to heat my room, spent 2 weeks in canaries January 96, came back to snowy end of jan and the rather often mentioned feb 6th nineteen ninety six

Absolutely disgusting that I make a post saying the 18z brill for my area and gets deleted but the south and south east get away with it joke.
If you’d have said brill for rain in your area you would have been ok

Staying well out the mad thread, they all get away with snow in the south, south east but if I went there and asked what are the chances for carlisle I'd be banned

Not holding out much hope for snow this week, looks like a bog standard northerly with Scotland and down the east coast doing well. The fronts from the south west will probably corrected further south and they will get a pasting whilst we remain cold and crisp
Nah, we will be buried

6c but with less of a breeze and can feel the warmth of the sun out and about… if it’s colder and sunny next week that’ll be great
Need to get some outdoor jobs sorted next week and hopefully have some new window panes fitted
Sun definitely packing more of a punch now, I was unblocking a drain at the front of my house westerly facing in a sun trap, was actually sweltering and felt uncomfortable and that’s now

Even though there’s still plenty of time left for us to become cold it just doesn’t feel like winter anymore, maybe because time is marching we’re in middle of the last winter month and it’s becoming much lighter both ends, anyone else feel like this?

Anyone remember heavy snow on 24th February 2001? I was in Blackburn at Mill Hill getting picked up by a mate to go to a helter skelter event at bowlers absolutely chucking it down with snow and pretty deep around Blackburn?

Well that was one of the most incredible thunderstorms I’ve ever been sat under, over 2 hours, biblical rain almost none stop, still going on now, instant explosions at times to boot!
