  7. temprature seems to be similar here got to 30.2c in my garden presently only 23.5c aint bad for 21.00 dewpoint a miserly 41% rising, nearest storms of east anglia in north sea, not quite the same dont think theres much chance of monster cg's anvil crawlers odd tornado in bicester this evening, but still theres always next year
  8. looking at the map you are at a lake have the mosquitoes been chasing pat they seem to like the taste of him
  9. checking my photos again i hadnt taken as many as i thought my largest file had 3 days worth in all nicely renumbered by windows in transfering them from card to notebook to portable hardrive a couple of others have a day and half in due to time differance and the way i transferred them what a nightmare to sort out now as i only now have them all on the portable hardrive only the first day is correct so be carfull when transfering between more than one device but i still must have over 5 to 600+ photos a day to sort through i must admit i was gobsmacked by my original totals and only realised when i started seeing duplicates in different days. anyway hope your all having a great time and plenty of storms to come
  10. guys be aware of how many photos you can take i used a lightning trigger most of the time and took from 691 to 2577 photos each day most days well over 1500 mostly in raw so you can imagine hundreds of hours to review em all will probably take me past next years chases to play around with them all although there are a lot of duds where the lightning was out lens view. so im having trouble finding the tornado pics amongst them all (but good job i stored every days pics in daily files on a hard drive making it easier) which i took by turning off the lightning trigger at times, I will have to invest in another canon if i do a tour next year just for the normal shots anyway good luck for the coming days
  11. I thought it was Pat Spider Timmer he needs 8 arms to use all his camera gear at once on that mega bracket he bought the other day
  12. S**t why did i have to go home an miss this one all i can say is im gutted to miss this lot well done again to Paul, I was ruduced to watching odd glimpses on cnn live at DFW airport see some good lightning just after taking off at 19.55 below us then skirted around a supercell way above the 35000ft we were flying at

  19. perhaps we ought to buy safety specs to wear in car SETTING THE STAGE FOR A POTENTIAL OUTBREAK OF SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF VERY LARGE HAIL AND SIGNIFICANT TORNADOES worried about car windows what a forecast looks to start with some action on sunday then a big day monday almost definitely same tuesday then some more wednesday possibly thursday and a suspicion/hints of a do it all again from other stormchase forums the next weekend

  22. by the sounds of it chaser convoys and traffic jams as people are starting to plan to arrive over weekend.
  23. just checked several models and several well known stormchasers websites for bits of info looks like we may not need to leave the prime chase area of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas till thursday at least, a long shot still at this stage but there is a lot of anticipation that there is big severe weather event looking lightly the next 2 or 3 days models will hopefully reinforce the outlook just hoping that i will have beginners luck and it dont go bust
  24. volcano starting to cause problems hope there is no repeat of a few weeks back as the outlook is looking good from sunday onwards for 4/5 straight chase days at least posters on stormtrack ramping it up http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23871
