  1. a the moment I qualify for the no storms club in UK but I see plenty on the netweather stormchase tour 2 a month back got severe withdrawal symptoms please help
  2. one i done last night it has a good hook 3 x TVS (tornado vortex signature) and a meso (mesocyclone) in the hook this was aprox 6.15pm in the US the radar was KUEX Hastings in Nebraska the storm cell was over the state border in Kansas to the south this storm was Tornado warned. There were several spotter reported tornados and funnels also large hail and strong thunderstorm related wind events last night.
  3. when i have time and see somthing of interest i will post screen shots from GRLevel3 on hear, last nights screenshot lots of reported tornado sightings the magenta boxes are tornado warnings boxes the radar station location is at top left of image
  4. its on my hit list of things to do 2012 perhaps depends how next years storm chase goes as i want to bag some more tornado pics first. I have already found lightning ladies pics plus several others the storms look very photogenic
  5. Considering sleeping in a car on and off one day's with Hotel's.. I think what Paul did this year would be ideal. Something Im oneday considering...But the downside is chasing on your own and the lack of fun!!! and friendship
  6. I know possibly the wrong thread but unable to find a more appropriate one if Jo,s coming next year i have found a good avatar for her its animated if you click on it, need to add sound to it "get in the (unrepeatable) car" voice blown away in wind thats my excuse anyway i recommend these tours to anyone who wants an exciting few days with a good chance of getting to see some severe weather between storms you will drive through places that you will know the names of from all those cowboy movies on a boring sunday afternoon that you used to watch but storm chasing is far more exciting than that so give up that holiday on the beach at Majorca or anywhere else ie cyprus, turkey, carribbean even Southend and head out to the Central Plains with Netweather working on convincing girlfriend to come with me (to help carry all my gadgets and cameras)
  7. here is a link to why we had such a good time http://www.news9.com....asp?s=12516366 one of the reasons besides the good company of course regards to all Pete
  8. so good i'm coming back for more next year and mark I like your flickr gallery, anyone thinking of going book your place as you never know what you may see lets all hope that next years tours are as good as this years there is some evidence that the amount of Tornados come in cycles you will find discussions on it at http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/ as well as on this forum and others and the cycle was on its first year so a couple more good years to come but regardless there is always going to be some big weather to watch even there normal storms are amazing compared to what we usually get in the UK. not i lot a can say that i havn't before a brilliant of like minded people see some of you next year and new faces too regards to all Pete
  9. shame they are heading for home theres a storm in Nebraska tornado warned 5 mesos 3 tornado signatures , dangerous nite time tornado possible tour 4 was in the general area a couple of days back storm is near North Platte
  10. i had a great time amongst the best of my life you may think it takes a lot to impress me but i have travelled the world travelled across the southern ocean in a ship not much bigger than an old car ferry in huge swells visited volcanos, surfed big waves snowboarded down black runs and done ski routes 10 miles long, been in tempratures of 114f and -37c add the windchill experianced altitude fatigue so it is only that things do not suprise me but i was trully inspired by the storms i see and have put my name down for next year, all i can add has been said before have a great end to this years end of netweather storm chase season. and 3 cheers for Paul and everybody else on the tours and an extra one for Ian the Navigator for only missing the odd turn

Pete counting down the days to may10th

  17. one of the cars in view is a chevy tahoe perhaps netweather aint sure where they are cloudnine cam on it too
  18. day 3 which was day 4 is now a slight risk day, including by the looks of it including the panhandles, which with Pauls storm finding skills bodes well for tour 4
  19. Watching your storm cell is picking up well hopfully will have some meso's on it very soon if not already just checked radar one of the cells north has just gone tornado warned so lets see the tail ender do the same for tour 3
  20. my account does not allow me to start a new topic so i have put it on here Tour 4, get your cameras batteries on charge SPC forcast is looking ok 3 days of slight risk then Severe risk of svt on day 4 wish i was heading to Heathrow in morning to fly back out hope tour 3 catches some storms on last day, looking at some activity on GRLevel3 to the north of your present position 1 off the storms has rapidly grown in hight from 2400ft to 38200ft hope somthing forms to your south so you can at least head towards Dallas
