  1. They're brilliant pictures. Good point also @Victor Meldrew. Think about the 2/3 rule. If your photographing the sky then 2/3 of the pic should be sky.
  2. Would love to chase tomorrow. I'm in Loughborough, East Midlands. Unfortunately without a car at the moment and have to be back in Loughborough Tuesday morning anyway. If anybody is chasing tomorrow theres no doubt I'll be watching the radar, satellite and detectors from mid afternoon so can do a bit of nowcasting if anybody needs it. Just give me a PM.
  3. Yeah I'm pretty sure its the one they're on, shame theres crap mobile internet coverage where they are, the streams not very good at the moment.
  4. Looks like a wall cloud on the stream right now.
  5. Looks like a crazy day/night out there. I'll be watching the radar and streams all night (revision can wait). Good luck to all on the tour
  6. Its playing fine for me, Im using the latest Firefox (not sure which version). Sound is all messed up though since they turned the music on.
  7. TORRO have updated their Tornado Watch to cover just North Wales and have also issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of UK http://torro.org.uk/site/forecast.php
  8. Are the Met Office asleep, I cant believe nothing has been issued regarding that precip down in the south around Poole.
  9. Hello, I didnt know you were a member on here. Anyway, the mass from the South has combined with a home grown cell that developed over Cardiff.
  10. I dont have any direct reports but some detectors are showing sferics coming from this mass of precip.
  11. SFERICs have been detected from that large area of precip just coming onto the SW coast up from France
  12. The satellite isnt looking too bad in terms of cloud cover. There are some big gaps in the cover so some insolation should be occuring now. Temperatures are starting to get into the 20s so its looking good in my opinion. Just wait for this stuff to come up from France.
  13. Sat24.com is pretty good, Isle of Wight is pretty crap tbh, I use http://andvari.vedur.is/athuganir/eldingar/i_dag_na.html as it comes from the Met Office. You also really need to get the Netweather radar, its really good and pretty cheap. I dont think I could track storms without it.
  14. I would use this for lightning http://andvari.vedur.is/athuganir/eldingar/i_dag_na.html The strikestar detectors such as the Isle of Wight Weather one never seem to be very accurate.
  15. Should be some lightning within that mass of rain in SW England.
  16. Personally I think South Wales could get some torrential downpours but as Marcus_surfer has said its very dynamic and constantly changing
  17. Yes, definately looks the the East Midlands and East of England have the best chance of seeing the greatest thunderstorms this afternoon/evening but I think almost everywhere could see the odd sharp shower with a few rumbles.
  18. Lightning does seem to have been detected but not quite a storm: http://andvari.vedur.is/athuganir/eldingar/i_dag_na.html - uses Met Office data (I think)
  19. Snow possible tomorrow across higher areas. Upper air not so cold but ground temps are below zero for most of the day. I think this will be limited to higher areas and the further North the better so most people will only see rain but worth a mention. Met Office have issued advisories for this http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_warnings.html?day=2
  20. Yes, I used to use IE but now use Firefox - its far better.
  21. Ahh right, I didnt realise there was a Tropical Cyclone, i try to keep an eye on them but I must have missed Tasha.
  22. Its pretty crazy down under. I'm guessing this rain must be coming from pretty intense thunderstorms (supercells maybe?) as I dont think theres is or has been any tropical storm activity.
  23. I just watched the latest episode on Gadgetglanman7's Youtube channel so its definately on there, I think its only just got on there though.
