The welsh shower hasn't broken the cap, it seems like its developed through orographic lift (Brecon Beacons)

Edit: seems it has, strikes nearby.

Strong storms in Ireland firing. Could be interesting watching the Man Utd / Arsenal game later. Could be some disruptions.

Wowzers those cells have come out of nowhere in France and bloody hell I would love to be under one of them, absolute beasts of storms.

Petorious 26c here now. Lots of cloud building  but still seems capped. I've a feeling if the cap breaks, you may have an area for initiation spot on

Currently sat near Macc Forest looking out across the Cheshire plain with a bit of east Wales visible through the haze, in 4 hours it'll be a completely different picture (here's hoping). No signs of anything convective just yet.

The skies have a very pre-thundery look to them here despite not being in danger zone today.

Very warm, but not a lot happening here other than fair weather stratocumulus, My favourite boring cloud. I think the east is out of the firing line but I guess we see the odd one. Enjoy, the rest in the west!

That said, imports from France may be possible here, later on?

Plenty of towering cumulus to my south, even a few to my north. Think its reasonable to say showers or storms will develop around 3 widely.

A few cumulonimbus clouds starting to form, but the majority of them look like forming even more as they go past our area here

I can see a few chemist developing towards Longley, but whether they can develop enough in time to hit here will remain to be seen

Eagle Eye Yes, we're too far east here in Surbiton, yet the air is hot and humid with popcorn skies and large cauliflower clouds forming since 11am. Hopefully we're not then too west for the French storms to find some energy in our area. But yes, highly likely to end up with nothing right in the middle!
