Arome 06Z is a pretty decent match with the current radar imagine over France, lots of play for later but strongly suspect I won’t be seeing Poole Harbour light up tonight.

Really contemplating a chase tonight now, couldn't push it too far south as I'm at work in the morning but heading as far down the M1 as possible is tempting me.

John88B Bristol could definitely see a few strikes tonight. Although, with the initial destabilization further east, we want to start off there and follow it back WNW through the overnight period.

Heavy rain moving in ahead of potential action to CS England this afternoon. Might scupper any chances of action in this area

Frosty hollows I wouldn't stress too much, that rain more-or-less just marks the boundary really.

Frosty hollows Why? The potential action later is elevated.

Frosty hollows Assuming the models remain consistent i'll be setting up shop NE of Oxford between the Costwolds & Chilterns, it's a almost a 3hr straight-run down the M1 from where I live and there's always the options of using the M40, A34, A420 just incase the system moves further south than modelled. Its the first chase in my new car so i'm hoping to avoid any hail cores whilst getting the best of any lightning show within the dry inflow. Good luck to y'all also out chasing later on.

Sneaking on for the first time this year and this season. If this pans out for e-sussex @LightningLover and I will be a whole 19/20 days out with our first  'proper' storm predictions. Here's where I curse my inability to drive!

 Mitch the motorbike storm

Stay local maybe, any place with a view towards the direction of ware the storms arrive from. Probably around midnight.

Still stunned by the amount of instability the AROME 06z is presenting- almost 3,000J/kg in the channel and over Kent.

 Mitch the motorbike storm

If you can get to the coast it may be good, if you have shelter. Might be misty though.
