Just had a hefty thundery shower. Was sunny & calm one moment then large volumes of very dark cloud arrived from north west. Sudden increase in blustery wind followed by heavy rain & loud thunder. Blue skies now returning! Temp dropped to 9C from 11C in shower.

spoke too soon on another thread about only light showers, now quite heavy, about 18mm per hour rate, 2mm in very short time but no lightning seen nor thunder heard

A heavy shower just passed over from north to south lasting about 3 mins. Quite a bit of the fluffy stuff behind. Temp showing about 13°c with 55% humidity.

Has been overcast all morning with a few spots of rain about 2pm. It is now very cloudy and getting quite dark. I notice the Met Office has weather warnings for heavy rain in most of the SE except Sussex, have a feeling we may be in for a heavy shower soon.
