What a night and day.

Last night was wild as it rained heavily all night with squally winds. Everywhere flooded this morning then more heavy blustery showers this morning. The rain respited at lunchtime but came back big time by 3pm with damaging gusts of wind and torrential bursts of rain!

I think the Centre of the Strom is currently passing overhead. You should expect a strong NW'ly wind to set in within the next hour or so, once the 'eye' of the storm has moved away to the NE.

Dry and cloudy for a few hours then an area of heavy showers moved from the south by 1145. Heavy rain turned to sleet shortly after midday and then to small hail.

The showers cleared by 1430 and the rest of the afternoon was dry with a couple of very brief sunny intervals.

An overcast but dry day, with only a little rain last night. The wind has been a major feature of the weather, with gusts of more than 40mph last night. The pressure is also the lowest I have recorded here during all of 2005. The daytime temperature today was around average for the time of year, though another high minimum temperature last night means overall it was again around 2 degrees above average.
