It's been pretty dry all night, with a stiff breeze that's beein stopping and starting. Just this moment here in Kenfig Hill, overlooking the Atlantic to the west, there is a burst of moderate rainfall. Dawn has almost completely broken now, revealing a sky dominated by a thick layer of low grey cloud. A large patch of darker cloud with somewhat orange tinting has just passed over my street, and the one tiny break in the cloud layer shows fluffy white cumulus (I think!) above the cloud layer. Wind is blowing from a westerly direction at quite some speed if the low clouds are anything to go by. Not much wind here as yet on the surface, remaining a moderate breeze perhaps occasionally gusting to strong.

I don't have a thermometer, but the tempreture is quite mild, estimate at between 11-14 degrees, visibility currently at approximately 2.5 miles towards swansea before view is obscured by "grey", but in the opposide direction, view is relatively clear.

Looks like a very wet morning for Port Talbot and Swansea!

edit: The cloud is all change now. Behind it is a layer of much much lighter cloud coming in of the arlantic. I even have a ver fuzzy patch of blue sky through the trailing edge of the lower darker clouds passing over me now.

Last night was quite clear except for some altocumulus, the winds were warm, it did go really dark at one stage, then the wind started getting up during the night, partial cloud this morning.
