I remain sceptical that we'll break any records here today. The east breeze is already beginning to pick up and a local station at 500m is already reporting an easterly at a mean speed of 17 mph, a sure sign that the wind will increase here in the next couple of hours.

Here in faversham kent its the warmest it has been so far this early in the morning, it was 27c last time i looked half an hour ago in my stevenson screen..... might actually get above 92f we hit yesterday...... not as hot as anticipated as to the west of london and east of wales...... but we may nudge 33-34c here.....
