It's been a very humid and hot day, although not as hot as recent days with a max of 29c. Quite hazy sunshine at times and rather cloudy since mid afternoon.

Hazy sun now and temp 26c.

Had a reasonable storm this morning at 1.30 - rained very hard, enough for the ground to still be wet at 8am this morning, with clear blue skies and sunshine.

Humidity been building all day (as has the cloud), currently very, very overcast and the air is so thick it feels hard to breathe. It's very still and I wish something would happen to break the air.

Evening everyone,

Another belting hot day, storms later, hopefully.

Currently in Burton at 20:40hrs, some high cirrus, we had some altocumulus castellanus late this afternoon this now seems to be dissolving away.

Interesting day today. Started off at breakfast time with that rarity in Shetland - a thunderstorm, which grumbled on until lunchtime and knocked out the electric both north and south of Lerwick.

Current temp 16C

Wind S @ 5 kts

Weather: Thickening mist, very muggy.

Sat pics show a line of nice looking thunderstorms just south of us so could be interesting again later on!

Current conditions, alto cloud cover around 25-30%, part hazy. It is currently dry with no precipitation, though the Humidity is slowly climbing once again. At around 330pm it was sitting at 47% humidity.

Very little in the way of barometric movement. Its been sitting at around 30.00 Inches / 1015mb for much of this afternoon, which is very suprising since we have a band of new storms moving in a north easterly direction, heading slowly our way. These new storms seem to have spiked up around 8Pm ish of the welsh coast.

Currently at Hale:

Current Temp 22.8C

Max Temp 27.3C

Humidity 60%

Barometer 30.00 in / 1016.3mb and steady

Dew Point 14.7C

Wind: NNW at 6 mph

Wind: NW at 3.0 over 10 minute avg

Rain today 0.0mm

Rain ET 3.53MM

Monthly Rain 2.5MM

Wind Chill 22.8C

THW Index 23C

Solar Radiation: 26 W / M²

Outlook for tonight for my area.

We may see a little in the way of much needed rain, though I doubt this will be heavy or even prolonged. The associated front, seems to have pushed everthing much further east than was initially expected.

Its likely in all honesty to be a cooler night, with little in the way of rain...though I hope not hehe
