Andrew_WsM Amazing not getting anything like that from here. Great to see these though from down our latitude. Dark skies will help - sadly not so much from here.

It's firing back up with pink here.

Thunderspotter This looks like a seldom in a lifetime event for us down south. I've been playing a lot of VR recently and your Aurora dog had me going for a bit! 🙂 Awesome photos

kumquat Yes it's pretty amazing to see, Ian Fergusson has posted a few great photos from his location in North Somerset - https://www.instagram.com/fergieweather_bbc/

Is it just tonight or will there be other opportunities this weekend?

Andrew_WsM I've heard tomorrow night is also a possibility but not up with the latest details.

300+ images later and I'm finally out of battery for the M50ii. Hopefully the electric and PC still works for when I get round to sorting through them all.

It really is hard to comprehend. This might be one of the most documented natural events in modern day Britain, and what makes this event even more unique compared to ones 20/40 years ago is the advancement of camera technology so that millions can capture it with just a click of a button.

Absolutely beautiful colours earlier this evening. What a super experience! I have seen weak aurora in Iceland, and Norfolk, but this is amazing to see here in Suffolk.

As it was at night I didn't realise that I had a dirty lens, but it makes it look like there are night time clouds, and to be honest I don't care at all as I love what I saw and the images I got (here are a few straight out of A7iii camera with wide angle lens, only watermark added)

Seems I'm living in the only place not to see anything tonight, really frustrating.
