Absolutely brilliant here under dark skies 😃 the M50ii pics are class although even the phone is picking up the display. Well worth the 2hr 30min trip to get here.

Starting to be visible to the naked eye and are now more to the NE which is a better direction for seeing.

NOAA is saying this is a top ten all time sort of setup and helpfully the moon is still not a factor, already set by now ... don't forget that all things being equal peak display would be around 0100h local (unless a surge ends before then) due to best earth-Sun alignment at that hour. Clear skies here and hoping the display lasts another seven hours.
