Paul tall presumably lives over the higher ground of County Durham, as the east coast of his region has only just began seeing sleet now.

Between 9am and 5pm winds were light, it rained all day here, and temperatures hovered around the 5C mark.

Winds picked up at 6pm. Has been chucking it down with rain, with some sleet mixed in, for the last hour, with temperatures oscillating around the 3-4C range.

very mild temps last nites of 8c and cloddy foggyishs. temps todays is peakeds at the 12c!!!! awfuls innits!! me's barometer alarms is beepity beeps for storm warnings and gales is comes rushings and suddenlys lot of driftings rain is head the me's way. it is last mostof afternoon and then clear ups to leaves lovely blue sky and sunnyshines for bout half hour then clods is came marching overs agains and leetle bit of rain. steel rather windys though and temp is nows 5.8c but feel much colders than thats!!!

me hopes the me is wakes up to snows!!

Thundery wintry showers, no I don't live over high ground. The temperature started to rise after I posted and topped out at 3.9c. Its now 3c, and the wind has really got up. Its always a little colder inland than it is in Newcastle on the coast, and a little warmer in summer.

Heavy rain and drizzle.

Strong west wind turned to NW.

Sunny spells and serious showers.

Now had hail and sleet that made the ground briefly white :)

Temp did reach 11c :shock:

Windy, soaked ground, clear skies.

Current temperature is 2.9c, dropped from 3.3c when I got up half an hour ago.

Not a sign of any snow, and checking the radar, no showers within hundreds of miles either.

Damp squib.

I really can't see heavy and prolonged snowfall materialising.

Well, I'm not far from Newton Aycliffe, albeit a bit further inland, and we had snow for a time last night, and it was settling. Woke up this morning though and nothing at this level. Currently 0.9C and blowing hard.
