And we go zooming into March. I was thinking the other day, it won't be that long until camping in reasonable comfort is once again possible...

Anyway, lovely nw photographers - let's get those fingers clicking and those shutters buzzing and post into this thread any photos taken during March 2007 that you wish to enter into our Monthly Photo Competition. Maximum three entries per member.

Remember:

Entries will NOT be accepted if they're sized above 1024 x 768.

So please resize.

Here's a free resizing programme - it really couldn't be easier:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jresizer.html

Or for Macs:

http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Graphics/iResize.shtml

As usual, the winning entry will be the photo for March in the 2008 netweather.tv calendar.

Happy snapping

Mammatus Cloud.

Possibly a Netweather first. These clouds were spotted on the 4th. March by Hiya in Glasgow, Mondy (above) caught them as they travelled over Stirlingshire and I snapped them over Fife before they headed off NE over the North Sea.

A cracking example, I tried myself, but the gale force wind that was blowing round my tripod meant I could only produce an unacceptable distorted image

This one is of the wind farm off the Great Yarmouth coast, I took this from the beach at Lowestoft

so that's probably why its not as crisp a photograph as I would have liked.

I should think that the wind farm is several miles away from where I was standing with my little camera.

This is a photograph I took on Saturday 10.03.07 of two very brave men working on the huge wind turbine at Lowestoft.

I've added this pic to give you some idea of how high the guys were on the turbine.

You have to look quite hard to pick out the mans tiny frame against the massive structure.

Hi all,

I'm entering this one on behalf of my brother. I wish I'd entered it the "Best Snowman" comp a few weeks back, but there you go.

It won't win, I expect, because if you look closely it's a bit X-rated.

But what a lovely smile!

Some fantastic entries again this month - well done everyone.
