Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers for Scotland and N Ireland. Cloudier for England and Wales with outbreaks of rain, although northern England, Wales and southwest England will turn sunny in the afternoon.

Thursday night

Increasing winds, thicker cloud and then rain for much of Scotland. Also, becoming damp across Northern Ireland and some western coasts of England and Wales. Dry for the rest of the country.

Friday day

Wet and windy across Scotland. Cloudy with some spots of rain for N Ireland, northern England and Wales. Sunny spells elsewhere, the best in southeast England. Feeling rather humid.

Friday night

More wet and breezy weather for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Cloud and drizzle on western coasts of England and Wales drifting a little further inland. Mostly clear in the southeast of England.

Saturday day

Slow moving band of rain over north Wales and northwest England, with some hill fog. Mainly dry and warm to the south but cloudier near exposed western coasts. Broken cloud and a few showers to the north. Breezy.

Saturday night

The rain will move north through the evening into Northern Ireland and Scotland overnight and become heavy in places. Becoming generally dry over England and Wales, feeling a little muggy.

Rain, heavy at times in parts of Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Patchy rain extending to Wales and western most areas of England this afternoon. Very warm or hot and dry in the south and east.

Sunday night

Becoming cloudy in all parts with patchy rain. Rain will be heavy at times in the north of England and Scotland.

Tuesday day

Wet and windy for northwest Scotland. Dry with sunny spells for N Ireland. Sunny spells and scattered showers across England and Wales. The heaviest showers are likely for southern England, with thunder possible.

Tuesday night

Remaining showers will fade during the evening. Most parts will then have a dry night with clear spells. A cool night, especially in Scotland and Northern Ireland where there could be some patchy fog forming later.

Wednesday day

A largely dry day with bright or sunny spells, after a chilly start. There is a slim chance of a light shower almost anywhere as cloud builds during the afternoon but they will be well scattered.

Wednesday night

Any leftover showers will soon fade away. Just about everywhere will then be dry with clear spells and light winds. With those conditions, temperatures will drop quite low, another chilly night to come.

Dry in most parts of England and Wales with prolonged sunny spells and maybe the odd light shower, mainly on hills in the north. Thickening cloud will bring light rain into Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland.

Thursday night

The south and east of the UK will stay fine and dry with clear spells and once again it will turn a bit chilly. The north and west of the UK will see thicker cloud and a little bit of rain.

Monday day

Cloud and outbreaks of rain across many southern parts, some heavy in southernmost counties. Dry and bright for N Ireland. Showers and sunny spells elsewhere, although northern Scotland generally overcast.

Monday night

Rain, heavy at times, slow to clear from southeast England overnight. Elsewhere, showery rain continuing in northern Scotland but most parts becoming dry with clear spells. Brisk northerly breeze.

The BBC forecasts are rubbish, I could pull out more accurate forecasts from my backside.

The BBC forecasts are taken from the Met-Office, which I wouldn't exactly call rubbish. Go on then, pull a more accurate forecast out of your backside. No I didn't think you could.

Outbreaks of rain will spread in to Northern Ireland, Scotland and northwest Wales. The rest of Wales and England will be largely dry with spells of warm sunshine, and it will turn very warm in south and east England.

Saturday night

Patchy rain will spread across most parts, although with Kent and East Anglia staying dry. Rain will be heavy at times in western Scotland. Becoming more showery in western parts.

Rain in Scotland will move north clearing all parts except the Northern and Western Isles. Showers will follow and there will also be showers, some heavy and thundery, over England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Sunday night

Rain will return eastwards to most of Scotland. Showers elsewhere will die out inland, but persist on western coasts and hills.

Rain continuing to affect western Scotland. Showers elsewhere, some heavy in the north, but fewer showers, more sunshine at times in the south. Rain reaching the southwest of England and Wales this evening.

Monday night

Rain clearing northern Scotland. Showery rain spreading north and east across England and Wales, along with strengthening winds, reaching Northern Ireland and the Scottish border by the end of the night

Wet weather will spread across much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Southern Scotland, with a risk of gales in exposed southern &western coastal parts. Turning brighter and more showery in the south later. Northern Scotland drier with some sunshine.

Tuesday night

Rain will gradually move away from northern England and eastern Scotland, then most places drier for a time with clear spells. Further heavy showers into the southwest later.

Shows today didn't go quite to plan. Strongest winds to be on the South and east coast according to XC weather when I last looked. Lunchtime forecast was good though picking up the heavy rain over North West England.

Anyone notice the slip this evening. Yorkshire has moved south into the Midlands. :huh: :huh:

Many southern and eastern parts will start dry but showers in many western and northern parts of the British Isles will drift east during the day. Wet and windy weather in the Northern Isles with gales.

Thursday night

Sunshine and showers this evening, then most places overnight becoming dry away from northwestern coasts. With clearing skies and winds easing, it will turn chilly by dawn. Rain and strong winds easing in the Northern Isles.

Sunny spells and scattered showers across Scotland and England, but fewer showers than Thursday. Dry and bright morning for Wales and N Ireland, becoming cloudy and damp by evening. Feeling a little warmer.

Friday night

Mostly dry in the east for a time, but cloud and some rain will edge eastwards to most places by morning with some heavier bursts in the north and west.

Heavy rain for central Scotland for much of the day. Further heavy downpours over Wales will spread eastwards across much of England through the day. Showers will follow on from the west. Drier in the west later.

Saturday night

Persistent rain over all areas except Northern Ireland and southwest England will gradually clear eastwards to leave light and patchy rain in many places. Dry later for Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
