Similar to previous nights with a mixture of clear spells, patchy frost, and fairly extensive mist, fog and low cloud. Rain spreading from the west across Northern Ireland later.

Sunday day

Fog may linger over parts of the Midlands and southern England keeping it very cold. Fog elsewhere should lift. Best of the sunshine in Scotland and Northern Ireland though turning windy with rain later in northwest.

Sunday night

Rain heavy at times for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Winds easing here. Elsewhere, local fog may reform but generally a dry, cloudy and milder than last night.

BBC24 forecast has just mentioned that Wednesday will herald a very cold continental feed where there will be snow on the Eastern side and at lower levels.

Monday day

Rain, heavy at times, will continue over Northern Ireland and much of Scotland throughout the day. Clearer in the far north of Scotland. Elsewhere, a lot of cloud, with some patchy light rain or drizzle.

Monday night

Generally cloudy and mild. There will be occasional mostly light rain in northern areas, the south staying largely dry with just a few spots of rain here and there.
