Just had a few large snowflakes falling but as the air is warma dnt eh ground is wet they immediately melted

Not sure if what we had should be reported really!!! :good: But none the less, as Callie said, some white stuff came out of the sky and melted - it was snow when it started.

Got about an inch and a half of settled snow here in east Hertfordshire, it's kind of drizzling now and I think it's thawing with a temp of 1.6c.

I'll post photos in my blog later.

Yesterday afternoon saw showers of hail, graupel and snow but didn't settle.

This morning has seen continuous moderate snowfall since 8am, with a covering of around 1cm now. As I write, its still snowing with large flakes falling.

Snow has stopped for a couple of hours now apart from a brief flurry now and then. Got around 7cm in total so it was really nice to see.

Snizzle turned to drizzle but now its mostly sleet with the odd flake of snow. Looks white up on the hill but not going to do much down here unless the precipitation gets much heavier and it turns more to snow again which has happened before.

In what has been another awful winter for snow here in Hampshire a magical momentat about 11 30

rain with flecks of sleet and small snowflakes started to fall all of a sudden you truly could hardly see the sky there was a mass of snowflakes bigger than 3 50p pieces falling such was the intensity the ground started to whiten as did roofs and cars had all gone by the time i returned to the village but as said a truly special time last event like that here thundersnow 28 01 04

Mainly sleety hail showers today but one very heavy wet snow shower at around 2pm which lasted about twenty mins with some of it settling on the cars and the grass but all gone within ten minutes of the shower passing. Better than nothing I guess.
