Brecon has three partially frozen reservoirs and lots of ice waterfalls. Really pretty and something I've not seen in 10 years or so.

Some big temp changes across E Anglia.

Locations to my S were -5C this morning and currently stand at 4C. I started out with a temp of 0C due to cloud cover but have only increased to 1.8C.

Clear skies now and im expecting the temp to drop below 0C fairly swiftly.

It staggered up to 1.6c here for a while due to unbroken sunshine however is dropping rapidly again now at 0.7c.

We seem to have a bit of rather unwelcome and unforecast cloud invading from ESE off the channel meaning the temp is now stuck at 1.1c after a high of 2.4c earlier when it was sunny at 1pm. I hope this cloud shifts its a**e quickly or else it will stop the temperature dropping. Thankfully it looks like it will clear from the east looking at the satellite loop

I live near evesham I can confirm the earlier poster who said it went below -7 centigrade

My weather station gave the minimum temperature as -6.9 centigrade this morning

Heavy frost still lingered where the sun could not reach it.

now -0.1 centigrade and dropping rapidly!

I believe -6.9 centigrade is a record for this area in recent winters but then again it could go colder tonight.

I actually found some snow today at Hurdlow in the Peak district no much but it was there. A very small narrow band but it was there.

Another raw feeling day and a mostly cloudy one too keeping the temps not too cold relatively speaking. 3.2c the max now 2.4c stable. Very dry too with DP of -5c right now.

Trouble of these feeds from the east - lots of cloud gets stuck in the high giving us no frost, no sun & stable temps. Not that we'd get frost anyway with the DP so much lower than the temp.

Been a very boring cloudy day here with a max of 1.2c, there is some hint of the clouds thinning and the temp is currently -0.2c, hopefully it will get a lot colder and we'll see a frost tomorrow, but i'm not gonna hold my breath :wacko:
