Dark, grey, wind and rain here, although not as windy as over night. Seems such a long time ago since we last saw any rain. Feels pretty cool due to the brisk wind.

Seems to be stuck on 7.1C — just one degree warmer than last night  .

Raining a bit, but not much (touch wood), but enough to turn the tracks around here back into their default quagmire mode. I was going to resume planting a bare-root hedge, but the soil's still frozen up beneath a surface layer of mud. How anyone can prefer this dross to last week beats me!

Tomorrow's forecast to be drier and brighter so the hedge might on the cards again.

A typical British autumn day here - wet, windy and mild. An amazing change from Saturday when the top temperature was -2.7c, with a sustained 8.0c two days later. Currently just starting to rain, probably just a showery burst as it's been all day.

After a mild weekend with some heavy rain and really strong winds, a colder feel again to things here as the day has gone on. Temperature at 7C but dropping and I'd expect a touch of frost by the early hours. I wonder if this is the start of another cold spell?

Very mild in Stockholm today, it is above zero far up the country today too.

It is currently +5,0'c outside now, the highest this far this winter, and the wind is blowing a lot, right now at 20- with gusts to 30 knots.

The average temperature for January this far is -4,8°c and it is rising now very fast, soon we will probably reach the January average that i'm counting at for the moment (-3,5°c 1961-1990).

Tomorrow is forecasted with the same weather as today, quite windy and +3°c to +5°c for most parts but -5°c for Kiruna in Lapland due to new arctic air moving south. And in the weekend these above-days will probably become below-days, with t-max temps -1°c to -5°c at least a week forward, and maybe a chance for lake-effect snow during these days.

Today's maximum ended up at 10.0c making it the first double fiugure temperature since 22 Dec! The Cold Front has now cleared, had quite a downpour around 17.30, and the temperature is dropping at 8.8c under the starry sky, so not a dramatic drop as sometimes happens post-Cold Front.

Mild but really not feeling it in that wind & rain that's been going all day. So no change light/sunshine levels wise on the past few weeks - just now there's air movement, rain and it's less raw feeling.

Max of 10.1c (at 4am), now 8.7c.

The weather today was horrible - cold, wet, windy, gloomy... bring back the frosty conditions from last week. Even though it was meant to be warmer today than last week I was flippin' frozen sitting at my desk today. Hate it, hate it, hate it!!

Fairly benign day compared to yesterday which I can only sum up as awful - I foolishly went out in the lakeland hills at High Rigg near Keswick, on a couple of occasions I could hardly stand up, soaked to the bone. The water just ran off every surface causing rivers and streams to quickly swell exacerbated by the thaw of build up of the ice - it was if the atlantic had been saying right you've had your lovely dry spell now its time to have some fun and show you what we are made of -- all that pent up energy was just raged down on us...

Anyhow, yes a relatively quiet mild day thankfully we needed the respite.
